The xbox version. Not even amazon is selling them.

It has been backordered almost everywhere since its release. I ordered from Deep Discount about two months ago, and nada.

....they're EVERYWHERE. My local Walmart has a wall full of them...I've also seen them in Target and Best Buy just in the past few days.

rocketsauce 12-08-08 01:33 PM

I was in best buy here in chicago and I saw tons of them. In fact I thought they ran out of the entire bundle and only had the drum kits left.

The Bus 12-08-08 01:36 PM

I realized after listening to the No Doubt tracks that I am, in fact, not that big of a fan.

I'm still getting "Just a Girl" and would love to have seen "New" as one of the choices.

Country confirmed

Seeing that word has already spread, Harmonix decided to announce next Tuesday, December 16th Rock Band Country Band DLC and we were spot on, it's country music ya'll!

Available for 160 Microsoft points each or bundled together for 680 points will be five country tracks for Rock Band, including music from Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Dixie Chicks and more. Look below for the complete list of upcoming "yee-haw" tunes and ponder their purchase. You have a week to decide.

* "Mud on the Tires" by Brad Paisley
* "Hillbilly Deluxe" by Brooks & Dunn
* "Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)" by Dierks Bentley
* "Sin Wagon" by Dixie Chicks
* "Gunpowder & Lead" by Miranda Lambert

Good for some, and good for my wallet :)

aktick 12-08-08 03:24 PM

I'm not really much of a country fan, but I'm a farmboy, so I feel obligated to get all 5. After checking them out, they are all actually decent, IMO. Some decent guitar tracks in there.

I did hear a cool song on the radio the other day that would've been a perfect selection -

I'm really, really interested to see how Sin Wagon works out. That could be insane.

thelwig14 12-08-08 04:07 PM

Couple of those sounded like the country equivalent of Visions, but I will snag the Paisley and Bentley songs just to encourage Harmonix to get some Cash, Jennings, etc...

UncleGramps 12-08-08 04:29 PM

Sin Wagon and Gunpowder & Lead are surprisingly kick-ass. I may get the whole pack. -eek-

Mad Dawg 12-08-08 05:20 PM

Good news for folks who held off on The Colour and the Shape from the Foo Fighters. Starting tomorrow, XBL is putting it on sale for 1200 MSP.

Agreed...that is not cool.

Shagrath 12-08-08 05:59 PM

..Just pretend you're on the PS3, where there is no discount.

Problem solved.

Or think of the $5 extra you spent as a 2 week exclusive window.

devilshalo 12-08-08 06:18 PM

I bought 2 songs so it's not going to matter much to me.

Looks like all I'll be getting is 5 No Doubt songs and that'll be it for the year? I assume they are not going to release anything the week of Christmas and New Years?

or some free transiberian orchestra*

*no ties to reality at all.

DaveWadding 12-08-08 06:31 PM

I'm in for Brooks and Dunn & Bentley.

What I think is hilarious about most people is that 90% of "country" music today is basically the same fucking thing as a rock song (see "Gunpowder and Lead") and could moonlight on any "new rock" station without anybody questioning it, until you mention COUNTRY and then it's "OMG COUNTRY SUXXXXXXX"

xmiyux 12-08-08 06:35 PM

In for the entire country pack. I don't know any of the songs but they will be a blast to sing.

flashburn 12-08-08 06:47 PM

I'll at least be getting the Dixie Chicks song and probably that Gunpowder and Lead song. I might just get the whole pack, depending on what the drum charts look like for the others. I can't believe that though,.

The Bus 12-08-08 07:03 PM

Country tracks:

I'm in for the last three.

They released songs on XMas day and New Years last year. I don't see why they would stop their DLC streak for the holidays.

KnightLerxst 12-08-08 09:27 PM

I don't dig country at all, but over the years I have heard my share, and lemme tell ya if they pick some of the right Brad Paisley songs you could very well see guitar charts from hell. The guy is sick.

LorenzoL 12-09-08 06:24 AM

I'm hoping since Harmonix is diving into the Country genre, that they may also try other genres such as Latin rock. Songs by Mana and Enanitos Verdes will be awesome.

mdc3000 12-09-08 07:49 AM

I was pretty certain I'd get the whole No Doubt album but after watching the vids, I'm now on the fence... with GHIII and WT I've got 4 of these songs already (granted they will be WAY better in RB2) and there are 2 songs I don't think I'd play more than once - ever... decisions, decisions...
