I started this last night against ym better judgement...and because Saints Row didn't show up
I'm planning on making my guy good, but who strikes fear into everyone. I made it to jsut after the Heroes Guild section, only a couple hours in, but it rocks so far. I think I screwed up and took Raise the Dead as my first skill. But I think that will help in instilling fear.

I wanted to go good, but then I got back into the habit of stealing from people. I remember in the first Fable there was this shop keeper that I would be friendly with, get drunk, lead him somewhere so he could fumble around, and then ransack his store of all the new merchandise. He never wizened up to my ways, and once I started pilfering stuff from this game I realize that's a great way to get ahead!
Evil is much more tempting than good!

Fable II players report game breaking glitch
Posted Oct 24th 2008 12:00PM by Richard Mitchell
We've been receiving reports from several gamers -- and the Lionhead forums are positively buzzing -- about a game breaking glitch in Fable II. The glitch occurs during the quest called "Monk's Quest," in which players are tasked with speaking to the Abbot of the Temple of Light in Oakfield. Apparently, if players run into the temple, begin the conversation with the Abbot, and then leave the region before the conversation is finished, they are be unable to resume the quest, thus preventing them from completing the main story. Lionhead is currently working on the issue and advises all players to make sure to finish the conversation and cut scene before leaving the area. At the moment there is no fix for those who have already encountered the glitch.
Another glitch discovered in the game causes those who take one of their heroes into co-op with another player starting a new game. Apparently, when leaving childhood, all experience and gold will be wiped from the co-op character. Lionhead hopes to address this glitch in a title update, but advises players to only play co-op after the childhood stage has been completed.

Jesus...after the LE fiasco, co-op fuck-up and now the glitches...why did they even release this game. Were they are a set deadline and couldn't get out of it? Ridiculous.
By the way...picked up my copy yesterday with my placeholder from TRU. It takes me forever to finish games so maybe they will have found and ironed out all the problems by the time I am knee deep in the game.

Is any game ever perfect? There's always glitches or bugs, and someone alwys mentions the fact the game was released too early. GTA IV got a 10 and people bash it left and right for bugs and camera issues, etc.
Anyhow, I got to the glitch part (before reading this) and the Abbott says something like "I guess you're not interested" if you leave the area where he is. I walked back in and he says something to the likes of "I guess you want to hear this after all."
I don't do co-op, so the other bug isn't a problem. I have had people try and join my games, though.

I played this game far too late into the night last night and now I'm paying for it at work. But so far it's great. I can't figure out how to actually commence having sex with someone, though. The manual says have them follow you, lead them to a bed, and hit A. When I do that, it only gives me the option to rest. And this is with my wife, so it's not like I chose a random person who hates me. What am I missing here?
When they proposition you, you have to give them the "thumbs up" expression, then have them follow you to a bed. When you hit "A" it will ask if you want protected or unprotected sex. Then...Boom-Chika-wow-wow!
