I have a Panasonic AX100 Projector its HD 720p and it looks fantastic, Bluray looks stunning at 92". Extremely sharp, crisp colors are very vibrant. I got it couple years ago and now you can get a very nice 1080p projector for the same price.
Heres an idea of the PQ you can expect out of a Projector
Kill Bill on Bluray

Nice projector caps. Just don't go into the light. Anyway, I played Dead Space last night for around my hour and there were a couple of shit your pants parts in just that short amount of time. I like how R3 can guide you to your next objective if you are lost.

I'm on Chapter 2, & think the game is phenomenal. The sound is incredible, I can't imagine playing this game if you don't have surround sound. I'm playing on my 51 in plasma, 7.1 surround going & games don't look & sound much better.
It's like playing a movie that is the best part of Aliens & Event Horizon combined. Gameplay is fantastic, I don't think the level design is repetitive at all, there is so much detail everything feels fresh & new to me.
The game is addictive, I just wish I had more time to play it, I'm not a hardcore game, but it's the best game I've played/bought this year by far.

Has anyone else had problems with this game freezing? My system froze three times last night and I'm only at the beginning of the second chapter.
I had no problems today with Lego Indy and a week ago I was able to do the endless set list on Rock Band.

picked the game up today, on chapter 2. Games pretty fun. The visuals are amazing, so is the Audio.
Just dont know how well the combat will hold up. so far all the enemys do is charge you and you take each one down the same. its fun but dont know how well it will hold up.
Overall so far I like the game, the opening scene looked amazing with the sun shinning as you approach the space ship.

Rented the game, and had the same reaction as maingon. The sun shining in sequence is pretty amazing.
The game is creepy as hell, by the way. I'm getting the same vibe from the game as 'Bioshock'. It's incredibly tense right now as I don't really have any 'powers' to speak of; my main concern is that once I pick up some cool schwag, I'll just be able to blast through all the baddies in the second half.

I'm into chapter 9 and it's still just as awesome as chapter 1 for me.

Part of the fun of the game is not knowing what is coming next. Sure, it might be easy to predict when a monster is going to pop out, but other things are random. Pipes bursting, humans getting attacked, floors collapsing, etc.
Plus the times when you're in the vaccum and have limited air, and not sure what to do, it's tense.
Granted, I haven't shit my pants at any monsters or slept with the light on because they tramautized me, but it has it's "holy shit" moments for sure.
And no matter how easy the monsters are to kill, when you have 10 of them after you at once, you'll be trying your hardest to stay alive.

I'm so loving this game! I'm stuck on Level 4 trying to shoot down those flamin' asteroids/meteors. The only real issue I have with the game are the save points. I save them at each locale but if I quit the game, after having saved, it still makes me start the level all over again. I think I'm going on my fourth turn on level 4. Still a fun game...just need to figure out how to effectively obliterate all those asteroids while keeping the hull integrity relatively high.

Yeah, me too. When I load a save, it starts right where I left off. I've never had to restart the level.

The game is pretty cool, but I can see why some reviews complained about the environments... so far, it seems really, really linear, with only one clear path to the objective (though sometimes there are multiple objective you can tackle one at a time). I'm sure this changes once other parts of the ships open up.
Xbox Mag really ripped the game, which was a little surprising.

One problem solved... I was not reading the save date & time and ended up just restarting level four instead of scrolling to the last save and starting from there. Still stuck on the asteroid shooter at the end of Level four tho.

I got up to the asteroid shooter last night, tried it three times, then quit for the night. I'll try again tonight -- I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who didn't breeze right through it.
One thing that I didn't realize the first two times I tried that minigame: You can use both triggers -- you have two cannons, not one. I found I came closer to beating the level when I hit the asteroids with both mass drivers instead of just one.

PS3 wise, everything about this game is really polished except for the save system which is so lame, im gonna guess it is for 360 too.
You basically never enter a menu in the game, when you view a map or your inventory the screen float out in front of your character and you can see them and the rest of the environment
except when you save, it cuts out to the standard ps3 save screen, like the one on 360 where the dashboard comes up and you pick the harddrive to save to
which really kills the mood of them game whenever you save
that's my only gripe so far though and since the mid save checkpoints seem to be well placed, ive been trying to play with minimal saving.
