I think it's part of one of the ultimate outfits. Have you done any of the core "Impossible" challenges?

Yeah, I know there's ultimate punk/metal/goth/rock outfits that are unlocked by completing the guitar/bass/drum/vocal Impossible challenges (not respective, unless by chance).

I think the Impossible band one unlocked clear instruments. The Impossible marathon unlocked "Crazy Instruments", if i recall correctly.

You can see what you'll unlock when you select the challenge.

but they are all locked still. I think i've only done like 2 challenges... just started the RB1 warmup songs challenge last night.

But I did spend 19k on a drumkit last night. The one with the stained glass and candles.

You'll only get swag from the top tier. The lower tiers unlock higher (and more current) tier challenges.

I think I've only done 1 impossible challenge. I guess I need to start on some more.

You'll also get achievements for each of the main Impossible ones you complete - even on Easy.

Hey, congratulations! I got the Fill ones last night and I'm a complete fucktard at it.

I'm working on the Beat ones too, but I think I'm going to have to enlist my daughter to work the foot pedal for me.

No way I can do them all at 100bpm, so I'm shooting for half at 180. I think I have 15-20 of the 38(?) I need.

I got the fill one a while back, and had most done at 180, had to drop down to 140 for some and 100 for a couple others.

For the beats, I had to do about 6-9 of them at 60bpm. Too damn tough otherwise.

I'm pretty sure the snake comes from the Impossible Vocal Challenge. My character was a guy though, so I didn't get the snake. I got the deer head instead. Bass challenge unlocked the punk outfit, I think, and guitar challenge unlocked the rock outfit. I haven't done the drum challenge yet. I guess it unlocks the goth outfit.

Cool, thanks for the heads up. My vocalist is a guy as well, but I guess I can just choose one of my females when I do the challenge and have it unlock, right? What if you replay it as a different sex, will you get both?

Should. Are we sure you don't get both sets the first time?

Huh. I tried that and it's a no-go for me. It looks like there's 11 pages worth of people on the rockband.com support page with the same problem, so hopefully they'll fix it soon. I wasn't planning on ordering any of the merchandise, but I'd like to at least see it.

No, that's why I'm asking. Snake > deer head though and I don't sing often so I want to get it right the first time.

Well, I beat the vocal, guitar, and bass challenges each with different characters. Each of them only has the outfit for whatever challenge they beat, in their closet. Unless I just didn't see them. So, it looks like it's character specific. Tonight, I can try beating one of the challenges again with a different character to see if it unlocks for them.

Yes, you can unlock an outfit with different characters by replaying the challenges.

The photo creator is fun but buggy/slow as hell right now.

OK, I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit on this AC/DC pack.

First, the fact that this is Wal-Mart exclusive is truly, truly awful. For one thing, I know of no Wal-Marts near me. For another, even if I did, I would never step foot in one. I refuse to support Wal-Mart in any way. I know AC/DC signed an exclusivity deal for their new album, but this is not new material.

Second, this is all live material. And while AC/DC is great live, they really were at their best when Bon Scott was fronting the band. Here, even though we'll get songs from the Bon Scott era, it'll be with Brian Johnson singing them. And that's just less fun.

And third, this whole thing with buying it on a disc and exporting is too much work. I want to download the songs through my Xbox, the way I've been able to get all the other Rock Band songs. I do not want to support this method of releasing new songs. It's a step backwards.

I'm certainly not buying it. Not at that price point, not on a disk. I only want 3-4 of the songs anyway, so it was an easy out.

Well, I'm sure it's gender specific. I just wonder if you beat it with a male character if you can switch to a female character under your profile and have access. Or if the closets are tied to characters, not profiles (which would suck).

That's probably the case as $$$ is tied to characters not profiles, meaning I have to play as my stand-ins if I want to doll them up with expensive attire/instruments.

How can you not have a Wal-Mart within 5 minutes from wherever you live? It seems like there is one every fifty feet wherever I am at. I do agree with supporting Wal-Mart as little as possible.

I don't think its been ruled out that we won't be able to buy these songs on Xbox Live (or PSN). The retail disc itself is exclusive to Wal-Mart, but that doesn't mean the songs are.
