Figures it would be Gene to first get to market. What a huckster.

Its not like Ace's would be more desireable or anything since he was the lead guitarist fer crying out loud. Especially if it shot out flames...now that would be awesome.

And it's actually for the PS3!

So far the MadCatz bass I've seen is only available for 360.

Definitely won't work for lefties, unless they want their wrists sliced. Emo kids perhaps?

Won't be too easy to sit with and play either.

Can't speak for others, but in 20 years of playing instruments, except during gigs and rehearsals, I've always sat down to play. It's just a habit, since RB feels more like practice than gigging to me.

Now, if it's a party with multiple people, then yes, standing is appropriate. But at home by myself, it would be kind of weird for me.

I usually stand up, but I was actually laying on the couch playing the other night. It's challenging!

This guy is awesome. All you sitting "rockers" are not awesome.
*He does play on Medium, so that brings him down a little on the "awesome" scale.

I play standing up always, mostly because I can't seem to get comfortable with playing while sitting down and it negatively affects my play. FWIW, I've never played a real guitar.

Not much in there I'm interested in, but if the MP3 import thing is actually worth a shit, I might pick it up. Also, if the wireless mics are awesome and compatible with Rock Band, it might be worth it as well.

I'm not a singer by any stretch (I plugged in the mic only at a party once for RB) but looking through that list makes it seem like a great party game for people who enjoy singing.

Man that would be cool to get Personal Jesus in RB, although it would likely be tier 1 or tier 2 on difficulty.

Partly joking, partly just egging you on, but no, not an ounce of seriousness.

Sitting vs. standing is no different than people's taste in music. It's just different than what you enjoy. After a long day at work, playing with the kids, and entertaining the wife , I want to sit down to play some games, not jump around my living room. One man's awesome is another man's sad banana.

Additionally if you pre-order, you get free DLC for a few weeks. I think it works out to be 8 more songs.

I'm looking at it as a vocalist, and there's not a lot there for me, with the exception of the stuff that's already in Rock Band, and then A-Ha, Depeche Mode, and R.E.M.

I see Rock Band as more of a game for those who enjoy singing, as it's a little more varied, and a lot more rockin'. I know that Lips isn't meant to be used as a "rock" game, and is basically done in the mold of SingStar. But SingStar has stuff like Lordi available as DLC. We'll see how the mp3 business is, and then maybe I can sing me some Manowar or something.

Sadly about 80% of the songs are on other karaoke games that I already own.

Yeah, there are some cool songs on that list... but only 40? Pass.

That setlist would make a nice disc based DLC pack for Rock Band though.

Maybe they can work something out.

Glad some are excited.

I tried the vocals only route with KR AI and I just felt cheated. Rock Band/GH WT have ruined those games for me. They just seem so stripped.
