This site shows an ad that states "June 25" for both PSN and 360.. I'd assume that the 360 release would actually be the 24th.

We'll see. I think they would much a much bigger deal about the Summer of Arcade starting up that a sneak attack by Battlefield. July 1st almost makes more sense and BF, if part of the SoA, may have been intentionally delayed for that.

I frickin' LOVE the Magic game, but how do you get game completion? I beat all 16 in the campaign, and I did all the challenges, but I'm only at 52% completion. I tried going online twice & both times I got a 'failed to connect to server' error...anyone else having issues?

You've got to beat the co-op campaign as well, and I believe get all achievements (even Spellslinger).

Can't wait for Monkey Island.

I think you have to unlock all the decks and cards. Meaning you have to beat the computer with each deck.

Though I've unlocked 16/17 of the cards for the initial green deck so I'm not entirely sure.

I'm in the same boat.. 52% and beat the campaign entirely with the green deck and all the challenges.

Wow, that'll take a while I guess. I have 17/17 in the red deck, and I just started playing with a multi-colored deck.

This is a GREAT game, except two things:
1-I want to be able to decide which mana I want to tap. When doing the challenges I needed to use red for something and it kept tapping the red when I needed 2 green & 3 of any (it chose red).

2-I want to be able to remove cards from my deck, not just the 'bonus' cards.

Other than that, I love it!!!

I totally agree about the tapping. That and they need to have a simple display to show you what you have out there. I lose count quickly.

I haven't beat the campaign yet, but does it say anywhere which deck(s) you've used against each person? Or does it even matter?

I wonder if it's intentional that in Germany they show menacing Americans in the ads for WWII games?

That "Garrut something" is f*cking impossible. i can't beat the son of a b*tch -- i am fixing to throw my damn controller through the window. it has been a while since i have been this pissed at a game. he constantly is throwing these powerful cards out, while i can't seem to draw anything worth a damn. i had a head start on him 20 - 12 then the nimrod played a card that gave him +8 life -- so it was 20/20 again. are you serious?


P.S. - i even dropped the difficulty to mage!!!

magic requires some good draws though. If you draw crap you're screwed.
I am ready to break my controller as well. I just bought sf2thdr and decided to play through hd remix arcade mode on easy. The last boss ended up being akuma and I have spent at least 90 mins trying to beat him... I fail to see why capcom would make him so hard to beat on easy. 2 dragon punches and I am pretty much dead.

It happens. I chose one hand because it had 2 land & some good 'low-end' cards to get a fast start. I never drew another land the entire game. You simply can't win with 2 land. On the rematch, I think I won 34- -2 or something...it's all in the draw. I'm working through my 3rd deck now in the campaign, damn that 100% completion achievement!!

No MvC2, I'm just not a fighting game fan anymore. I grew up on them but now, meh...

I had the same problem, here is the tip I used that helped me to beat him. When your turn comes don't put a creature out in your first phase. Wait till after the attack phase to put something out, this way the AI does not see it as a threat right away. It worked for me I won 3 matches using this Strategy.

It's a good strategy in general. Do your damage first and keep your opponent guessing about what you have up your sleeve. I have won so many games doing this!

I've never played a card battle game before, but I'm giving the Magic demo a try. Problem is I'm an idiot and can't even beat the second person in the campaign. I think she has a white deck. Any advice for someone this noobish?

Best advice I can give is to just keep playing and learn the flow of the game. Until you understand what you can play when, what strategies work best, and how damage is dealt you're probably going to have a rough go of it. Just take your time, study each card, watch what the CPU does, and you should get the hang of it. Best yet, mentoring is probably the way to go, but I think that's part of the full version.

The difficulty in Magic sure does ramp up at just the second boss for me. I've lost badly, twice now and once she had 17 health and the other time 24 at the end of the game. Fuck her.

Either that first guy is way too easy, or she is way too hard, or both. Every single time I try to do damage to her she throws down Holy Day and then nothing effects her. Then she attacks me with those flying fuckers and I can't do anything about it. Oh and she used some stupid card that seemed to completely take one of my creatures out of play permanently (or at least the 3-4 more rounds I lasted). Lame.

A major thing to know is...you can cast Instant & Interrupt spells at any phase of the game. You can attack with a 2/2 creature, wait until he blocks with a 3/3 (or 4/4 or 5/5) and then throw your +3/+3 creature boost on your creature. You can also play land & summon creatures in your last main phase. Also, some creatures with special abilities can use their abilities after they've been assigned to attack or block, or even during the damage phase, just make sure they don't need to tap to use them.

On a side note...I LOVE the "Wrath of God" spell (Destroy all creatures in play). Man, that card has won me some games. Just hold on to some Haste critters, throw Wrath, and kick ass.

I got in to a way to long battle on the campaign it was like 10 or 11 and it was blue deck vs blue deck, and even though he had like 20 more cards in his library I was able to grind him down and make him run out of cards. His life was like 60 and mine was like 5, and for some reason he played send all creatures (he had a ton) to there owners hands and then didn't have enough time to recast them all and kill me so I won when he ran out of draw cards it was weird.

After a couple of days playing Magic, I am now convinced that the game cheats worse than Barry Bonds. It seems to me that the AI's cards get untapped twice as often as mine. Cards with special abilities (like that fucking red card that deals a point of flame damage) can get played three times during every round. Meanwhile, when I play a card, nothing happens. He blocked a 3 hit-point card of mine with a 3-damage card, so I played a +1/+1 card. Yet somehow I still died. Ditto when I threw down the "cancel all damage this turn" card on top of two pyromancer attacks. Yet again, I died. This is a piece of shit cheating game.

And I can't fucking stop playing it.
