Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I will have to check out the Crystal Defenders demo.
I don't think i will bite on yet another version of Peggle. Don't get me wrong, i really enjoy Peggle but i played it to death on the PC and have considered getting the DS version since it is supposed to have some new stages.

I wouldn't buy anything blind because the demo is available for the same amount of effort.
But, I think so, just based on the couple of days I've played the PC demo. I'm beginning to figure out the scoring mechanics.

peggle is pretty cool, but it gets really hard towards the end...i think we started up level 9-1. Also, that 20 million points in 1 play through, and clearing every peg on every board achievements may be impossible.

I couldn't stop playing until I got all the way thru Adventure Mode
I only got around 15 million points, but I'm sure you could easily get 20 million, I just didn't have enough time. The thing is, even if you fail a level the score still adds to your total. So it seems you could get the 20 mil by playing certain levels over and over.
But yeah, getting every single peg on every level....not sure if I am ever going to be up for that one.

well, we actually managed to get 20million on our first play through. Our score after the last level was 17 million, but a bonus of 3 million for "efficiency" put us at 20,065,000...just barely made it

Any idea what that bonus was for? I stopped around 9-3 last night and I think I'm roughly on pace for about 17M.

There's a 3rd "Arcade" title up this week. It just found its way onto the Marketplace today.
NCAA Basketball: March Madness Edition
It's 1200 points and clocks in at 2GB! So it looks like it's probably EA's full NCAA release for this year, and they just decided to go digital instead of retail disc-based release.

Looks to be just the NCAA tournament. They probably cut out the regular season and any sort of coaching career (assuming NCAA BBall had that, like FBall).
No online play either, it seems.

Yeah, I wasn't going to start a new thread about the game and I was gonna post it to the 360 thread, but since I downloaded it off of XBLA, I figured here'd be a good place.
BTW, it's a pretty beefy demo, with a lot to do and see - they actually give you too much to do in the demo, as it satisfied me enough where I don't really need to buy the full game...

I've never played peggle even though I got it free with Orange Box, and just watched the video on joystiq. Dammit, there goes 800 points.

That March Madness game is a pretty good idea. Very little development needed since the game is already built, and a good price point to encourage new purchases.
