Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)

CG trials last 8 minutes. You owe me 16 minutes of your time testing Blow and Into the Pit for making me talk about Master Chief's crotch at least two or three times today.

Get back to me on those two and i will consider it even.

I'm down for Lode Runner. Other than that I want to see old school Rare properties make their way to the arcade. There's no reason why RC Pro Am shouldn't be there. I know plenty of people would pick up Blast Corps. in a heartbeat. Lastly I want to see a Mrs. Pac-Man: CE.

Close. I think it's the eye of the Crimson King in the Dark Tower. It's b&w in the book but I colorized it.

Will do, I will need a break from packing and boxing eventually.

Spoiler:
You know it would sell, that's the sad part.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)

I think part of where the issue bogs down is in the details...ten dollars, 15 dollars. Ultimately any XBLA purchase, like any other purchase, is decided upon by this question:
Is this *game*with *these features/drawbacks* worth *this cost* to me the buyer?

When someone says "no" on one game that someone else says "yes" to, it appears that's what causes the discussion. And when some people have some rule that says, basically, "Anything is worth X dollars", or "X dollars is below the level I care about" and thus have very low purchasing standards, that definitely throws another loop into it.

.
No one answered my question, so I'll address it. According to this preview/review at UGO, the DS version might possibly be the best version of Peggle yet. It has all the original levels plus Peggle Nights, plus 10 DS exclusive levels. So it sounds like you get a lot of bang for your buck. The stylus controls seem solid from that article as well.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)

Peggle-- finally coming out. That and Dishwasher both. I've been waiting for those two for so long.

As far as the non-five achievements, yeah they suck, but for me Civ Rev has fucked up my gamerscore so much already, this doesn't make any difference.

Nothing wrong with that whatsoever, now if this was the 1st game ever I would bitch as well but since they have been around for sometime it is the only way to try and make sure you can get an even gamerscore down the road. If not not for the odd# achievements in Civ Rev. I would not have hit 100K exact because of the original Ghost Recon to name a few of the early offenders.

And of course the solution to games with odd achievement points in them, get all the achievements

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)

It isn't a big deal, it's just so against the norm it stands out...

So because one has done it, it's ok for others to do it just so you can rebalance out?

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)

When do the Hasbro games come out? IGN - who has been absolutely terrible with their release dates lately (they have Galactrix as out now, and Emergency Room as out effective 12/31/08, when it's still not out) - say today, but I know that's wrong.

I'll at least agree with you pinata that it does not make it ok then. But the fact that between retail and arcade games there are almost 40 titles now that have achievements points like this it is nothing new and will definitely not change(albeit like you said against the norm). So in the end I just go with the flow and like I mentioned to combat the fact just finish the title for the full 200/1000 and the odd points would be a moot point anyways.

I'm kind of amused by it for the very reason it doesn't bother my OCD but i'm sadistic enough to be entertained by the fact it bugs the shit out of other people.

So you sold it on Ebay for that amount? I want to sell the thing but have always done by selling through Amazon versus Ebay. The problem is Amazon doesn't have a listing for this item.

Is Ebay really my only choice to sell the thing?

I did sell it on eBay for that amount. It was extremely painless.
