Can you imagine seeing Connect Four by itself for $10? They'll probably try it.

A&A would be cool. Puerto Rico would be fun too, someone mentioned it awhile back but I haven't seen anything else about it yet. I know there is a PC version that is pretty good. Not sure how easy that would be to port though, unless they want to do a full rewrite.

A year and a half back someone from Cosmic Encounter Online also said they were working on an Xbox Live version of the game. That would be really sweet as well.

Wouldn't you just highlight the first letter, push A, then move U/D/L/R to the next letter, repeat until the end of the word, push A?
Either that or allow keyboard entry and have the game determine if the word exists in the field.

Don't know what's coming out tomorrow yet, but on the 21st is a game called The Maw: http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2009/01...xbla-jan-21st/
Screens and video: http://www.twistedpixelgames.com/maw...sandvideo.html
Also, completely unrelated. Bizarre creations has released a 13-minute "Mega Mix" of Geometry Wars 1 & 2 music you can download here: http://media.libsyn.com/media/godfree/46860_choices.mp3
The Maw will be priced at 800 Microsoft points and contain enough purple goo creatures to satisfy your need for purple goo creatures. Want more? How about these Twisted Pixel supplied (and completely random) The Maw facts and figures:
* The Maw is comprised of over 900 animations, 1000 sound effects, 25 music tracks, 200 visual effects, and 150 models.
* The Maw uses 85:1 compression technology making it a 150MB download. Without it, the game would be a chunky 2GB.
* The Maw allows gamers to unlock free gamer pictures and a premium theme.
* The Maw is a video game.

Still no XBLA game announced for this week. However, The Maw has been confirmed for the 21st, and it looks amazing!
What Is The Maw?
The game looks good enough to be a full retail game! It's already won several awards and is up for a couple more at various shows in the coming months. I've had it on my radar for a while, but after watching some of the videos, my interest has jumped way up!

"There are over 900 animations, 1000 sound effects, 25 music tracks, 200 visual effects, and 150 models, making this an incredible value for your $10… in the time that we have left." Bear then wept bitterly.
2GB == 150MB
The Maw will weigh in at a slender 150MB due to the superpowers of Granny 3D and its stupefying 85:1 compression ratio for animation data. Without it, The Maw would require more than 2GB of space, a size more attributable to retail titles. "I don't think we could have done it without Granny," says CTO Frank Wilson. "The simplicity of integrating the technology into our engine, the artist-friendly tools, and the brilliance of their compression algorithms are unbeatable."
Unlockable Free Premium Theme
The Maw will offer the rare opportunity for players to win a free premium theme as an in-game unlockable. The only way to get the theme (and free gamerpics too) is to play The Maw and find them.

I want a full, unedited version of the Waves song.

I was hoping to open this thread and find some good release news.
I have 60+ XBLA games purchased and couldn't tell you when or what the last game was that I bought.
It feels like months since XBLA has released anything worth buying.

Anyone up for some Castle Crashers co-op at some point in the future? I really like the game, but playing it solo is a little bit of a chore at times. I'm on most evenings post 8 EST.

Haven't played for a while, but hit me up for some Castle Crashers sometime. I'm usually on after 8 p.m. central. Gamertag is Grendel1974.

It's in the latest issue. I thought it got a 7.0 or so. Not brutal but not great either.
I wouldn't write it off based on a single review. Hopefully the other scores will be a bit higher.

Just saw this on my achievement website, but they are coming out with Minesweeper Flags for XBLA. Should be interesting to say the least on how they justify selling it for anything but 400 points if not free.
