Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Zen is fun and a great value at $5, but the physics are completely unrealistic. Williams collection is a much better set of tables and feel like you are actually playing real tables. Zen is well worth $5, but it isn't replacing Williams Collection or even the Gottlieb Collection as my favorite.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I got Williams yesterday from Amazon for $17. Me and 2 friends played it for a few hours and loved it. We then tried the Zen demo and found it to be terrible in comparison.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Some of the Sega stuff is back on sale. (All VC DLC together for $9.99)
All Burnout DLC together for $19.99 Or you can get the game and all the DLC for $29.99. Also, Trine is apparently down to $9.99 for a limited time only. Hoping Amazon will match Trine and Burnout. I might finally bite on burnout at that price and not worry about losing my disc-based save game. |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Trine is great. If you want it for the PS3, it's well worth $10. If you don't care, it's $5 until tomorrow on Steam. I paid $20 and don't even mind -- it's a brilliant, fun, great-looking game.

Flow is free for today only. The 13th.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Just PS3, I think.
I've been toying around with it a bit this morning, and I am struggling with the motion controls in a huge way. Is there a trick I'm missing? |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Also, Trash Panic, which is a $5 game comes with a free dynamic theme for a limited time. Not a bad deal for both. I'm downloading the game now and will post impressions later. The theme is nothing too special, but I like those dynamic themes to work as a screen saver.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
BTW, you need a US PSN account and you must actually be in the continental US to get flow today. If not you'll get error 403. I already confirmed that over at Blu-ray.com. So if you're in PR like me, you're SOL. :(

I'm sure if you wanted to switch your password, a kind mainland soul here at dvdtalk would be willing to log into your account, purchase and download the free flow, and then let you change your password back. |

But RocShemp, have glassdragon do it, and you'll be well on your way! |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Also, I saw this posted on Joystiq. Might be a workaround for RocShemp to download without passing out account info:
How to download it if your not in the US!. Sign into a US PSN account and then LITTLE GUIDE: Step 1 Go to the Settings option in the XMB on the PS3. Select Network Settings. Press "X" for Internet Connection Settings. Step 2 Select the Yes option if currently connected to the Internet. If you are not connected, this option is unavailable. Step 3 Highlight the Custom option with the d-pad. Press the Right button on the controller. Select Auto-Detect and push "Right" again. Choose the Automatic IP setting and press "Right" to continue. Select "Do Not Set" on the DHCP host name screen. Push "Right" three times. Step 4 Push the Down key to select Use on the Proxy Server screen. Step 5 Insert the proxy: 66.90.92.61 Port: 8080 Step 6 Go to US PS Store and download free flOw. Step 7 Enjoy gaming : D |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
yeah, obviously it would be better to not give out your account even temporarially, but if you are still squemish about it than you can check the trader list, i am gold in case that would make you feel better. Try TL's way first obviously, that would be better.
It shouldn't take more than 3 minutes to set up the proxy and less than a minute to remove it so that sounds like a winner to me. If you don't know what a proxy is basically you are running your connection through a computer here in the mainland that will make psn think that you are connecting from where that computer is. |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Seriously, flOw isn't worth the bother. It's a nice freebie, but it's not a very good game. Don't kill yourself trying to add that one to your account.

I like it, glassdragon. Though I can't see it being worth $10.

Yeah, it's alright, the motion controls are a bit wonky, but free is free.
I'm just saying that the regular asking price was a bit much. |

Yeah. I wasn't complaining. It's an excellent time waster and quite a relaxing bit of easy fun. And it's free. ;)
I'm just saying that the regular asking price was a bit much. You're cool. You should add me to psn in case there are any games that are coop to play lol |
