As good as those games look, I just wait for a PSN sale in order to buy them. I have enough games on my pile to hold me over for a while.

According to the in-game stat tracker, I'm a little over 10% through the game, and I love it! It's basically a much friendlier version of Trials. There's a big focus on pulling off tricks and keeping your combo meter going, and each stage will have multiple goals that you can go after in a single run or over the course of multiple runs. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who liked Trials, and even to those who liked the early levels of Trials and then got frustrated by it. ;)

You talkin' bout me?

Yeah, I really like Joe Danger so far. I just tried a few levels just before bed (typical PSN game -- 300 MB and takes over a half hour to download). It's fun. Certainly more forgiving than Trials (what isn't), but not exactly easy either. It kind of reminds me of Tony Hawk 2 in the sense that the goal is to string together big combos, not realism or extreme challenges. I've barely scratched the surface, but it's a VERY solid game. Can't believe this was made by four guys on their own. It looks very polished and professional. I look forward to playing some more.

 Nope, just a general statement. I loved Trials and played all the way through it, but I fully understand how others could find it frustrating. Joe Danger is much more forgiving, especially in terms of what angle you have to be at to safely land. Basically, as long as you're not almost upside down, you can stick just about any landing.

The Tony Hawk comparison is an apt one, as you have the risk/reward decision to make. Do you keep your combo going and risk losing it all, or play it safe and stop doing tricks for a little while to force the combo to end? Also, like you said, it's super polished and really feels like something they could have released as a disc-based game for a budget price. In other words, don't be scared off by the $15 price tag - there's a lot to it and it's all really well done.

Mars Table For Zen Pinball Inbound

After making DLC pinball tables for Zen Pinball based on Street Fighter II, Ninja Gaiden II and Earth Defense, Zen Studios are getting on a ship and getting their ass to Mars.

The new table will contain space shits which you can dock into, scan distant galaxies with a satellite, restore a pyramid and activate portals of lights by spelling out MARS on the board. Sounds absolutely nuts and far more elaborate than any real Pinball table.

Hey Decker

Do you have a personal review of the game? I tried the 360 demo a while back and gave up on it after a few minutes as a terrible FPS. But 4.99 can almost convince me to do anything. Is it really though just a terrible FPS through and through?

No, sorry. Just bought it and it's like 3.5 GB to download. It'll take all night to download. Deal is dead now, just another Amazon price goof. It's still on sale for $9.99 on PSN, though.

IGN gave it a decent write up.

New Amazon Deal : the absurdly-titled but otherwise impressive fighter Super Street Fighter II HD Turbo Remix is bargain-priced at $4.99 right now. Worth grabbing if you don't have it yet.

I dl'ed the demo for Section 8 and wasnt impressed. I felt that the game was very slow paced.

Im actually tempted on Blast Factor. I think it was $6 for the game and 2 add-ons. I dl'ed the demo and thought it was pretty fun.

Can someone please explain to me why you can download game demos in the background, but you can never download equally massive updates to those game demos in the background?

BTW : The PSN+ didn't download the mandatory system update, but they did update a patch for Lego Harry Potter last night, apparently.

Mmm, I might grab Lunar for $15.

Fat Princess for $7.49 is a good deal. I like that game.

I'm leaning towards Patchwork Heroes and maybe Groovin' Blocks as well

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Definitely gettings Patchwork Heroes!

Have been intrigued by Monsters Probably Stole My Princess, but now with PSN+ I assume that may be free at some point. Also need to think about Tetris. Want it, but don't think I'd ever actually play it.

Is there new stuff for Plus too? Tomorrow is when the 3 months free deal expires, and they still have Infamous as the free trial game, so I'm not sure if the first month officially ended or not.

I'm almost afraid to buy Tetris since it might get offered for free at some point through Plus.
