While this is correct for the purchased version, the developer has confirmed this will NOT be the case with the free PS Plus version. Would have been nice, but not a huge deal for me anyways. Looks like they're having a hell of a difficult time bringing the game to the PS Vita and PS3 due to those systems' limited RAM.

ohhh, yeah (duh!). i hate those f*ing things too!! Especially the ones that shoot at you. also, the eyeballs who charge at you are very annoying.
i'm no expert yet but yes, take it slow. don't be afraid to run into a room, take a quick peek, and run back out to strategize. also, upgrade the gold gain perk first once you unlock it. the game is designed so that every time you purchase a castle upgrade, the costs of all other upgrades increase by 10g (i think it works that way to for equipment/runes). that adds up over time. i only have 1 level unlocked in gold gain and the next level costs 3600g. the most i've gotten in a run is 1700g. I think i'm around level 40. the first boss still kicks my ass too. BUT, this game is badass and so much fun!
Forgot to say, don't forget to lock down the castle. i do it if i fail at a fairy chest and know i can meet the objective. or, if i want to try my hand at the boss. i'll lock it down until i get a barbarian king/queen as that is my fav class so far.

my PS+ membership is due to be renew in mid-April. Are there ever PS+ deals where its cheaper than 50 bucks? If I cancel, will i still be able to play the games i already downloaded? If i cant find a deal i might just cancel since i have a years worth of games on my PS3 that i've barely played

The free PS+ games expire when your membership expires (e.g., you won't be able to play them). Doesn't matter if you have downloaded them, the system will do a verification. Though, if you are offline, not sure how that will work.

Though if you can't find $50 of value in a year of PS Plus, you're not really trying, you hate games and/or you're discostu.
Some folks recently bought two years of PS Plus through the PSN Store and got $15 back through a week-long promotion so that's one way to save some money. Also sometimes you can find the cards on sale (like Buy 1, Get One 25% off gaming card deals or a recent eBay seller who sold $50 PSN codes for $40 -- I bought two of those)

And speaking of cross-buy, Counterspy looks pretty good. Will have to check it out tonight.

Best thing about it is the art style and music. I wasn't crazy about the game play. But of course I bought it. For free, it's certainly worth checking out.
And I tried a little Oddworld and it's absolutely gorgeous. Such a trip playing a familiar game you played 15 years ago now so graphically revamped. Using the touch pad to instantly quicksave is such a nice feature to have (if you're not a purist).

My son found a trick for gold in Rogue Legacy. The ? rooms reset when you quit to the title screen and then reenter the castle so you can rack up a good amount if you find one with a bunch of breakables.
Meanwhile I just beat the eyeball boss last night finally. Used the barbarian king as they seem to be the strongest but damn was it so gratifying after failing so many times. I still doubt I'm ready for any of the other as I don't last long in other sections of the castle.

I'm a level 166 character in Rogue Legacy and have managed to beat two of the bosses. I am going to get to level 200 before I give the other 2 a go as well as the remixed versions of the 4 bosses. I really doubt I will get the platinum as it requires you to beat the game with 15 or fewer characters while never using the engineer to set the castle. Watching a guy plow through the whole game in 13 minutes from the very beginning makes me feel like I suck.

I picked up Helldivers last week and it is great. They do however need to fix all the bugs regarding hosting / joining games. PS4/PS3 cross play is also broken...

Problem with leveling up health too much is that it increases the cost for everything else. But yeah, at least this early on, it seems like health/armor is the main component to survive; whenever I'm forced to draw the archmage with his pitiful health, it's basically instant death, and the barbarian is the one who can last the longest. I finally did a decent run and netted over 1500 so next time I'll be unlocking some gold-giving stuff.
This isn't a game, but it is on PSN: what the heck is up with the various Yasiel Puig themes?

Like Gooter said, level up the Gold Gain perk first. After that it's just a matter of play styles. I think my health skill was around a 20/75 when I took on the third boss. Around 30/75 for the 4th. I got the '20 hour' Trophy around that time.
Learn which class you like playing and level up accordingly. No sense leveling up perks for a class you don't usually play. IIRC, there is a trophy for unlocking level 1 of everything, but other than that, no need leveling Lich skills if you never choose the Lich. I never used much magic, so my magic tree skills are all around 5/75(or whatever the max is).
If you are having problems dying, use Runes/Weapons/armor with Vampirism, it helps tremendously. Once you're leveled up some switch some to the Gold Bonus runes.
Lastly, I didn't lock down the castle once.

Whoa. I'm around a 160 and just beat the 4th boss. Not sure what to do now. There was no end game. It just dumps you back in the castle like any other boss.

Wait the paladin's shield makes you invulnerable from all directions, not just from the front?

Oh, wow. So is leveling health pointless? The game limits your health to 250 on those rematches.

Nope. That's wrong. I went back in the Castle and the first big door was open for the final boss. Beat him, roll credits then start new quest+.
Not sure if it tracked what class I used most but after 8 or so runs on NQ+ I still hadn't gotten those classes I liked. It felt like it was forcing me to play the other classes.
