Weapons with high DPS are important for all classes.

To elaborate...all of your skills are based on weapon damage. Hold down control and hover over one of them, and you'll see how it works. For example, Poison Dart: "Shoot a deadly Poison Dart that deals 100% weapon damage as Poison and an additional 40% weapon damage as Poison over 2 seconds."

I haven't' sold shit on the RMAH. I always undercut their suggested price but still haven't sold anything, and I'm only putting up stuff with like stats (Ie something with one high stat and vitality)

i am gonna try to do this and see if I can get some sales:

New players want the best gear as fast as they can get it. I may get some stuff off the GAH -- level 25 weapons with reduced requirement of 10 and put that on the RMAH. I am interested if I can get some money that way. I am sure the RMAH is loaded with level 60 weapons, so maybe a level 25 may do the trick.

The suggested price is just the vendor gold price divided by 100.

They're drops. Considering how rare legendary/set items are (I haven't seen either one drop), I imagine the recipes are even more rare.

Closest I got to a recipe (Staff of Herding aside) was when somebody accidentally dropped it on the ground (they're white) while unloading junk.

I got 2 yellow BS patterns so far myself and they were yellow, maybe the set ones are white.

It's possible the recipe I saw dropped was for the Staff of Herding. I know that one's white.

I finished hell difficulty last night. i can't do inferno yet because I am only at level 57. Hopefully I will get to 60 this weekend. I did Act 1 in Hell solo, but I had to have help for Acts 2-4. I am truly a glass cannon, my total DPS is 32,000 but I only have like 18000 hp. I definitely have to stay well out of harm's way to be successful. I can't wait to get to 60, so I will be able to use that valor stuff to get some better loot.

I am ashamed to say I did use the RMAH to get a bow last night. It was too good to pass on. 952 DPS for only $5.00. I am pretty confident when/if I get something better I will be able to make that money back and probably more.

Thanks for letting me tag along last night FoxDvd. I appreciate it so much. Hopefully we can do it again soon! Especially when I am 60 for some good looting.

no problem! I would have bought that bow as well with the stats you got. I finally unlocked the staff for the secret level...some on here already have it, but if anyone wants to check it out hit me up if you see me online. It only takes 10 minutes to go through and the loot is amazing. I only have it leveled up to nightmare, but once I get it to hell, it is a great way to level up that last couple of levels.

in our game last night, i got that staff of herding too from Izual. So it is pretty valuable? what do i need to do to use it?

wlj, what you got was the recipe for the Staff of Herding. You still need to track down several ingredients. Here's a good write-up:
