I sold some crappy thing for $2.50...after listing it for 5000 gold on the regular auction house and getting no bites! Mebbe by the time the expansion comes out I'll have enough Blizzard Bucks™ to get it for free.

I've got 10 things listed and no bites. Sucks b/c most are higher lvl items (55 - 60) with mediocre stats. :/

So I'm finally trying to make the "Staff of Herding"....and it's pissing me off! I collected the first three pieces rather quickly, 2-3 tries max for each piece. Now I'm trying to get the "Gibbering Gemstone" in the Caverns of Frost and it's impossible. The stupid dungeon only appears one out of every 5 or 6 attempts, and the elite enemy is NEVER inside, like NEVER EVER. I think I have attempted it about 60 times so far.

I finally got it, by far the hardest item to obtain for me. Took another 3-4 hours before that bastard spawned in the dungeon. Everything else took between 2 and 4 attempts. Hell, even the second to last boss dropped the plans on my third try.

I'm just glad you don't need to find the pieces for each difficulty like I had originally thought. That would've sucked.

Yeah, once was enough. Also, you can go to the level again and again, unlike the D2 cow level which was one and done.

You could do it like 3 times completely and it wouldn't let you back in. The trick was you just did everything but kill the Cow King, then you can do it as many times as you wanted.

last night four of us took on the butcher in inferno. :(

about 9 tries later we still couldn't do it. problem is we had 2 DH (and a wizard and barbarian). i think if we had a monk, we would've beat him.

vballboy51 and I had a good run actually on act 2 inferno...I had 5 stacks running...and only a few times did we have to skip elites...(when two different elites or one rare one elite group get together is is nuts) We got about halfway through act two (mission 5)...

my new favorite skill for my Demon Hunter is the Ferrets companion. I get so sick of running all over the place trying to pick up gold --these two fellas do it for me. I also had a ferret about 10 years ago...tears.

sounds good to me. though act 2 just sucks. i'm thinking i may just wait until the patch. i'm just trying to do something. need to get to act 4 to upgrade my staff!

I am up for act 2...but you better bring the KY...the thing is with the scaling of the enemies, it seems broken when you go above two people. The jump in difficulty is just plain stupid. The idea I guess is for everyone to target the same enemy but the nature of the game is so chaotic that it is difficult to do so. Then one person goes down, and the mobs just target the rest and it is like dominoes.

ok dvdtalk friends. here is my new plan. my buddy is a lvl 56-57 wizard and wants to level up. we have found that leveling up in the secret level (whinyshire) is fun and can be lucrative. since its more fun with 4, i want to invite you all as well.

whats the deal? simple - find me on bnet and send me a message there, mentioning you are from dvdtalk. if i'm doing that level, we'll invite you in with us! i usually do wortham, and the crypts until i get 5 stacks, then go in. my DH can handle most everything, so it shouldn't be too hard for you.

all i ask is that if you get a rare ring with IAS and Dex, you give me a good deal on it :) momma (since my DH is female) needs a new ring. i also take gold donations if you feel so inclined.
