also this next patch (should be tues?) is going to bring down the difficulty of act 2-4 on inferno, but also nerf attack speed....this is going to hurt me bad. Attack speed stacks are why I am doing so much damage. I would imagine depending on how bad they nerf it, I could lose 10,000 dps. At this point I guess I will invest in more vitality/dex..

yeah I tried it out...act 2 is tough enough where I am going to wait for the patch...not worth the stress. One group of elites killed me 3 times before I was able to kill them. It would cost me 20 million gold at least to get enough of a bump in gear to make it fun. That just screams "hey buy on the real auction house when it is up" but I think they are patching it because their own numbers show people leaving the game when getting to act 2...and they want people to keep playing and eventually spending money on the auction house.

If it was not for those stupid spitting birds I think it would have been a lot easier...but when fighting elites, and frozen in place and a wall of little green boogers come at you from every direction you know you are dead...lol..

i should probably be on inferno by the weekend. i am excited about that, but I am not excited about the bump in repair costs. I won't be able to afford inferno probably

i haven't had any luck making alot of money in the auction house, I did sell a bow a couple of days ago for 80,000 but that is the highest I have ever gotten.

Yeah, Act 2 Inferno is no fun. I just finished City of Blood and I have died maybe 50 times since I started Act 2. Every champ / rare encounter = run around in circles for 5 minutes while trying to kill them or just skipping them if they have some crazy combo.

that sounds about right, im on to the sole stone and I have hit a brick wall, time to wait for the patch. and to think with 100k dps (with sharp shooter) crit) it would be easier.

just started nightmare and killed the skeleton king. I haven't died once yet and find its not as hard as what i was expecting (based on what i've been reading). maybe it gets harder?

i left some gear on my followers in normal. forgot to remove them before i continued to nightmare.
I guess i lost them?

1/2 the fun now is hanging out in the AH, looking for good bargains. Most of the stuff in AH is way overpriced, but occassionally, you get lucky.

Your followers stay with your character, and keep their gear regardless of what difficulty you're playing in.

I played some last night after skipping a week. My primary character had lost all items in inventory as well as what I was wearing. I was left with only the gold I had and a few gems in my stash. So I had to start Nightmare with nothing. At least I had some gold to buy the basics. I fucking hate this online only single player BS.

i just finished Act 1 in Hell difficulty. It was a walk in the park until I beat the spider queen. Right after her the difficulty made a jump, the Butcher whooped my @$$ several times before i was able to beat him. I asked for help from a few guys but they were all busy, so I said "F**K IT" and beat him by myself. I am a glass cannon, so if he got 2 solid hits on me I was dead. My strategy was circling him as fast as I could dropping my jagged spikes. I was able to take out probably half of his life bar by doing that, then I just started firing my freeze elemental arrows and he went down for the count. I got absolutely nothing worthwhile out of the loot he dropped though I don't know what has happened but the last few nights I have only gotten a handful of rares. I used to get them on a regular basis, but not anymore for some reason. The ones I do get are terrible, so I don't guess it matters.

I was able to get me a kick ass weapon on the AH...a level 60 with 7 reduced requirements with 628 dps with fire damage. I am excited about that, I had to go to bed before I was able to use it. I did some "buy low sell high" auctions last night. I found some really strong weapons for less that 20k, so I bought those and tripled the price and made some money. I made probably 200,000 gold last night. I then proceeded to do an "epic fail". I am so used to finding the reduced requirement weapons that I didn't notice that a ring, quiver, and amulet I purchase were level 60 WITHOUT a reduced requirement. I wasted like 75,000 gold. I am level 53 so it will be a while before I get to 60. :lol:

I wish I had an extra 10 million gold last night, I saw a bow on the AH with 1300 DPS! It was a level 60 with a reduced requirement of 13. Can you imagine having that weapon at level 47 :lol:What is the strongest weapon everyone has seen here?

My total DPS right now is 17,000. Is that decent for a level 53 in Act 1 Hell difficulty?

Hardcore plus unexpected lag spike = premature death for my barbarian last night. I guess my only consolation is that he's one of many over the last couple days.

that seems great for dps...It is all about a balance between dps/armor/res/hitpoints...you can be weak on one or even two of those as long as the other ones are good...at least until you get to act 2 of inferno, and then you better hope you have a good supply of ky in the house...


I am interested in how the cost works out in the real money auction house. Some gear is amazing, but they want 20 million gold. I keep hearing it will be 1 dollar for a million gold, so that means the best weapons might end up being 20 bucks or more. That is just stupid. I hope when real value is placed on items, it lowers the asking price. I would not mind spending 10 bucks total on 3 or 4 items if they were such that I knew I would never have to replace them again.

about 1:00AM last night i had a serious lag problem. I couldn't even play, I had to exit out and go back in. Is that what you are talking about?

That would be awful for hardcore players, it will certainly deter me from trying to make a hardcore run.



So do you think the gold auction house will suck once the real money one starts up? I would imagine people would just put all of the good weapons up for real money. If so, that will definitely reduce the "game life" for me. I don't want to spend real money on loot. I can't even understand how they are gonna put up this RMAH right now with all of the hacking going on. Sounds like a huge disaster waiting to happen. I can't imagine having confidence enough to attach my paypal or credit card.

They keep saying that no account has been hacked that has an authenticator attached to it. They are going to require an authenticator to use the real money auction house.

Yeah, there have been sudden lag spikes two nights in a row. The first night was when Asia was down, so I figured all the Asian players coming over to play was the cause. Since it was back up last night I thought I was okay.

Suddenly, as I was WW through a bunch of dudes the DH I was playing with died and I knew I was in trouble. I tried to run for the hills, but the lag kept rubber-banding me back into the middle of the mob. :lol:

It's ridiculous that they stil haven't added a way to search for +dmg in the normal AH. They should perfect the normal AH before rolling out a real money AH. I don't see myself playing this game for long if the real money AH becomes the only good way to get decent gear.

i have around 60 hours in the game and not legendary drop for me either. come to think of it I haven't really had any great drops, there have been few that were marginally better than what i had equipped. However there has been no "holy crap look what i just got!!" drops. Maybe that will change when I get to inferno :shrug:


luckily I do get some excitement finding great items on the AH for a good deal. it is also exciting to see what some of my items sell for. however I hope the RMAH doesn't make the gold AH suck, that will take out alot of incentive to play the game

4 of us at 60 should get together one night and just play inferno. The drops are much better with more people. I got my second one in a 4 person public game
