So did we ever determine whether or not there is exclusive DLC content for the PS3? Because I'm not seeing it listed on the Rockstar website.

Nope. No official confirmation though we all saw that ad picture that showed it. Not sure if they killed the exclusive or just aren't advertising it since the PSN will be down at launch.

The extra case that you get if you play the PS3 version is the real-life mystery of "Who stole my identity?"

Yeah, I think I might go ahead and switch my order to the 360 just to punish Sony for their sickening negligence.

Do we assume there will be avatar awards since there were several in RDR?

Eh, I'll get 1 for free and have to figure out how to snag that WalMart one I guess. I'm all for extra achievements.

I'm all for extra achievements too, when I'm actually able to get them and complete the game I just bought for full price on release day.

I'm sure all the pre-order stuff will be sold later down the line.
Rockstar was awesome when it came to RED DEAD DLC. They gave away the other two outfits from that Gamestop contest for free, and just recently offered the winnig Gamestop exclusive costume and golden guns for $1 each.

wasn't sold on this as my tendency with R* like games tends to be ... play for a few hours on the first day, get board of the game and its repetitive actions, move on to something else
was intrigued by the setting/theme so I decided to watch the first 14 mins video
not sold at all .... looks like more of the same to me
clearly what was shown was more tutorial in nature as to getting to know the controls but if I were to put this up against the initial demo that was released for Heavy Rain which did the same I easily prefer the uniqueness of the control scheme Heavy Rain brought to the table

I loved Heavy Rain, but the 15 minute clip blew it away.
Now, if one of the guys in LA Noire wanders the streets yelling "Jaaaaaasssoooon" then we can talk.

yes but the beauty of that is that you know the name of the character and despite how "silly" that dialog may have seemed it did form some type of emotional connection
without going back and reviewing I bet you couldn't name a character by name from the first 15 mins of that L.A. Noire footage

I bet if you watched the first 15 minutes of heavy rain you wouldn't be able to name one person after either, provided you had not seen that over acting trailer.
