Get a $15 Video Games Credit
Order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and get $15 off a future video game purchase. The promotional code will be placed directly into your Amazon.com account within 2 business days after the product ships. Offer valid for a limited time and only when shipped and sold by Amazon.com. This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders. Amazon reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion at any time. Limit one per household.

So if I already have this preordered, do I have to cancel and then preorder again?

haha, thanks, didn't see that earlier

It looks like it's just on the regular edition though, not the Hardened edition. Oh well, $10 bucks is better than nothing

WTF? I'm spending more and getting a smaller credit? That sucks, big-time.

Same goes for Dragon Age: Origins. Regular version gets $10 credit, super deluxe elite limited special edition gets $0.

Actually looks like we are getting the full credit now too!

Just got an e mail from Amazon this morning saying it went up from $10 to $15

Now with the double stacking ECA coupons and this discount, my overall cost of the Hardened Edition is $48.99

Probably safer to just preorder a copy now and IF the eca codes come back before this deal is pulled, cancel and reorder.

What's next?

We are pleased to announce that if you preorder COD Modern Warfare 2 you will receive a 60 dollar games credit
ROFL

I don't even like COD games and I am thinking about getting this. With the credit I have and eca I could get it for 39 bucks with a 20 dollar credit

I got those e-mails. I love it. I pre-ordered it way back when the ECA codes were working. I'm surprised Amazon is doing such an amazing deal on a game that will probably be the best seller of the year.

Maybe people have wised up. I preordered a couple of games last year only to find them on sale for $40 in November. I may grab this now and use the $20 discount on another when the holiday sales hit.
This promo code doesn't expire... right?

Typically they do expire.

I used my $15 credit from ODST on this. The ODST credits expire on 31-Oct. You have to apply them to an order before the expiration date. Of course the order can be for a pre-order game.

It just worked for me.

Worked for me too.

I had the game ordered and used a ECA coupon that I would lose if I cancelled and pre-ordered.

I emailed customer service letting them know I'd gotten a promotional coupon code from Sony and Amazon. They applied it to my existing order with no issues.
Very nice $5 extra off.

I also got an email from Amazon stating that my pre-order of Modern Warfare 2 promotional credit had gone up from $15 to $20 when the game ships. Very nice deal.

Fallout 3 for PS3 is $20 right now... I suspect it won't last long though.

Unfortunately not the GOTY edition....if you are interested in that content, it is still cheaper by $10 to buy that version at full price then to get this one and buy all the DLC....
Great deal if you don't want any or all of the DLC expansions though!

Ah, almost jumped on it but now am not sure about the GOTY content. never played the basic game.

Anecdotal but there were a couple of us that started this game a month ago and enjoyed the first few hours so much that we hocked the original version to go ahead and upgrade.

I'm afraid I might be in the same boat so maybe I'll skip the middle man and hold out for a GOTY price drop.

target.com still has the game of the year edition listed at 39.99, in stores only (for 360, it was listed for PS3 too, but it's not listed at that price anymore). I don't know if they were ever actually selling it at that price, as I've been unable to find it in store, but you should at least be able to use it for a price match somewhere else.
