Yep, I'm reading the thread now. I posted before I read the post above me.

Seems like perfect timing...if the free code still works that is.

Reading through that thread I'm confused by the talk of codes running out. Why would there be a limit to the number of codes?

Amazon only sends them a certain amount of codes at a time. When those run out you generally have to wait a few days for amazon to send them more.

The first episode of "Tales of Monkey Island" is free as their Video Game Deal of the Day. Not only that, but once you make that purchase, they send you an email stating you are now eligible to get $2.45 off the rest of the episodes through them. Pretty good deal for the whole 5 episode season at $26.

The remake of Monkey Island is on xbla. I think they're seeing how sales do on the remake before putting the episodes on live.

The Secret of Monkey Island (remake of the PC classic) is on XBLA.

Tales of Monkey Island is a new episodic series that isn't (yet?) on XBLA.

There's a ten dollar off code? Or are you referring to a promotional code from a previous purchase?

BTW : This popped up in my Gold Box. After Gold Box and ECA discount, it was only $48.02 with free release date shipping. Needless to say, I was all over that bad boy.

edit: It looks like they've added a $5 promotional certificate for future video game purchase to the preorder deal (in addition to the treasure map bonus already offered). Nice.

I picked this up yesterday for free. I love Tell Tale's games and have bought most of them on the PC. However, their Wii and XBLA ports are terrible IMO. They really don't do a good job of porting to consoles. I would highly recommend playing these on a PC. They run better on a netbook than they do on Wii.

I got in on that free ECA membership and took advantage for Kingdom Hearts DS. With the ECA and Amazon Coupon KH was only $25 with another $10 coupon coming when it ships. Amazing deal.

Just got it today. It's really nice. VERY easy to set up and totally unaffected by my HDMI cables. They run from the 360 to the TV, this receiver plugs into the TV's unused audio out RCA jacks. No problem. The receiver/transmitter runs on USB power so you don't need to use another outlet -- nice. The sound is amazingly good for a wireless solution. No hiss at all. Haven't fully tested the range, but it seems good from everywhere in my family room. Ear cups are comfortable. Thing feels pretty light as well. DEFINITELY worth the $81 if you have a S.O. who doesn't like loud gaming noises from your speakers at night. As pissed as my wife was about me getting ANOTHER 360 accessory, I think it will be very beneficial to both of us in the long run. Pick it up while it's on sale. :up:

For the second straight day, Amazon is having a Deal O' The Day being a 98 cent game that comes with the Buy One Get One Free promo. Today it's Westward. Buy it for 98 cents and they'll give you a promotional credit allowing you to buy any game here for free. Pretty great deal, and that free game promo comes in right away (unlike last month's MP3 promo that was so hit or miss).

So this was kind of a strange deal. Amazon had a lightning deal under their video game deal of the day section. Wet for PS3 for $19.98 with 102% claimed.

On the flip side I see this on clearance at Target right after Christmas for under $15
