Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

So it's a true WiiWare sequel to FFIV?

Yes. It's been out in Japan on cell phones for a little bit now.

I always wanted to play this one the PC but never got around to it. Click on the link for more screen shots. The graphics are a little cartoony! That 2 person co op play is pretty interesting.

Chris
IIRC, Cheapy D enjoyed that game on the DS year or so back. It always sounded interesting.

Punch-Out is gonna rock! Too bad the cover is so drab.

meh.
Except for the potential of cool motion-controls (and "3D" graphics), it seems no different from Super Punch Out.

Isn't that exactly what we all wanted out of it?

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

I noticed tonight at Wal-Mart that they had the 2000 point card that comes packaged with a skin for the Classic Controller on clearance for $15.00 (regular price $19.87). The 2000 point card by itself is still $19.87.

They also had the Classic Controller itself packed with a skin for $19.87, rolled back from $24.87, making the Controller packed with the skin the same price as the Classic Controller by itself.

The Tiger Woods Golf accessory for the Wii-Mote was on clearance for $15.00 (regular price $19.87).

I'm surprised no one brought up A Boy and his Blob.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

And anyone looking forward to the re-tooled Mario Tennis for the Wii should forget about it.

from IGN:
"What was once a great game has been pruned and morphed into lots of waggle, unreliable motion control, and a game with very little control over ball placement."

Other than that one weekend in college, I have never seen so many Wiis in one place as I did at Target yesterday afternoon.

We're finally seeing what we've known all along, the Wii is a bust!

or demand has caught up with supply!

As much as I have always wanted a new Punch-Out game, I am kind of scared of this one. It isn't being developed by Nintendo, but rather by some third-party developer that I have never even heard of before.

Same thing happened with Metroid Prime series and that turned out alright. Here's to hoping Nintendo was actually involved and I'll have a reason to play the Wii again myself.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

Well, at least it's a "new" title - you can bet your ass that if there was a Punch-Out on the GameCube, we'd be getting a re-release of that instead.

Agreed, totally. I wonder what the hold-up of the Mario Golf Wii-make is... Probably holidays as it makes more sense than Tennis.

Screw the elder statesman's WiiMakes, show a little love for little bro with a Luigi's Mansion WiiMake.
