More Wii invading the mainstream!
Saturday Night Live Wii sketch
The joke is old, but Alec Baldwin pulls it off IMO!

No, I haven't done any local multiplayer. Just some ranked matches for achievements on the 360. Split screen isn't co-op, is it? I don't think the game makes sense like that, so the split screen would have to be versus modes only.

I think the problem is that, for me, the exploration and strategy aspects of gaming is what draws me to most games, especially in survival horror. Do I really want to go around that corner? Am I prepared to open that door? With rails that is all taken out of my hands, and it becomes all about fast reflexes. You leave in the jump scares but you lose most of the suspense. Not that much fun, IMO.

Hate to sound harsh to the Wii only people on the board, but those that have a 360, were you seriously considering it... for even a second? Dead Rising was/is one of my favorite games this generation but haven't given a moments thought to the Wii version.

Anyone else excited about MadWorld? I did a search and didn't find any threads on it so I decided to ask here. I have a Wii and 360. I have to admit I hardly play with my Wii
But am gonna pick up the new HOTD and was looking into MadWorld and it looks great. Any thoughts?

I haven't bought a Wii game in a long while now.
Without reading through the entire thread, have I missed much over the last four months or so?

Anyone playing (or played) Wario Land Shake It?
I finished the 2nd map last night and returned to the shop to buy the 3rd map only to find I was 55,000 coins short! The map costs 100,000 and I only had 45,000. Is there any solution for this that doesn't involve me re-playing the first two maps?
I think it's mighty lame to completely stop someone from continuing in a game just because they didn't find every possible hidden area of coins.

I've got Wario Land and think it is a lot of fun.
I never had any problems with not having enough coins. 55,000 is nothing really, and shouldn't take you more than five or ten minutes to get. You certainly don't need to find every (or anywhere close to every) area of hidden coins.
Really though, you shouldn't be needing to play a level just to collect coins. The game would be really short and you'd be missing a lot if you didn't try to do some of the missions on every level. The missions are what made the game really fun for me. Just blasting through levels as fast as possible wouldn't be much fun.

This is one that I would be interested in playing and finally get me on my Wii, which I've had for 2 years now.

I always wanted to play this one the PC but never got around to it. Click on the link for more screen shots. The graphics are a little cartoony! That 2 person co op play is pretty interesting.

Anno coming to US on Wii and DS as Dawn of Discovery
by JC Fletcher { Feb 26th 2009 at 2:15PM }

Ubisoft is bringing the Anno series of historical strategy games to Wii and DS in North America under the title Dawn of Discovery this summer. It's also coming to PC -- but another strategy game on PC isn't really that big a deal.
Dawn of Discovery features city-building gameplay in a simulated 1404 AD. According to the game's premise, King George's sons William and Edward are sent out to settle new territories in order to gather resources for a drought-ridden homeland. As you build your society, you will gain access to new developments from neighboring cultures through developing trade routes around the world.
The Wii version, which marks the first Wii release for the series, even features 2-player cooperative play. All three versions are due out this summer.
