Pretty excited for that new DS Castlevania though.

Indeed. As long as they're not yearly, the formula is good enough to enjoy each time around.

Doesn't hurt that Harmonix made the US version of Karaoke Revolution for Konami.

EA Announces HASBRO Family Game Night
Electronic Arts has finally revealed the fruits of its recent partnership with board game evangelist Hasbro, announcing Hasbro Family Game Night, a collection of classic board games for the Wii and PlayStation 2. Shipping this fall, the game will include a wide assortment of Hasbro properties -- six in all -- from Battleship, Yahtzee, Boggle, and Connect Four to Sorry! and its more recent incarnation in Sorry! Sliders.
Purists will be happy to know that they'll be able to play the classic games as they remember, though EA notes that new versions will also be included as well for those looking for a different way to play. In addition, the collection will let players build and decorate a virtual game room, earn trophies, and play various mini-games once they tire of sinking each other's battleships. However, even with support for between two and four players, we doubt the compilation will have us tossing out our boxed favorites just yet, though at least with this game we know we'll never have to go searching though couch cushions for missing pieces before we can play.

Not so much the game itself, while it does look fine though, but more because it shows effort from a third party. The Wii really needs more of this sort of thing.

I'm hope they get a publisher for that. Read about it a few weeks ago. I hope they license that engine (the tech demo showed a lot of effects that have yet to be featured in a Wii game).
Sad to think that such a polished game with some real advanced (for Wii) tech doesnt' as yet have any takers.

KH = Kingdom Hearts?
I have the first two. Picked them up from someone here when I got my PS3 last fall. Haven't gotten around to them yet.

The whole Kingdom Hearts III rumor is, apparently, fake. The supposed Nintendo Power cover that revealed the game was a photoshop job. I was reading a thread about this at the IGN.com Wii message boards, and someone posted a link to the artwork that was used to make that Nintendo Power cover.

I saw that, but from the responses in different threads about this (over at gaf), is that while the artwork is fake, the rumor is true.
So who knows.

well my dsl modem Motorola SB5120 doesn't seem to connect to the wii (via the wii net connect - actually it's the nintendo one from BB). anyway, it looks like I need to install some sort of software or do something to the modem to get it to work. When I run the connection test it gives me error 52220 and the modem lights up orange at the bottom and flashes and the wii connect thing flashes, but then it can't connect. anyone know what I'm doing wrong (other than trying to do this without a computer in the first place?)
thanks
here's the cable modem info. what's up with the one ethernet output?

I caved today and picked up Okami. On sale at BB for $29.99. Looks like Capcom has closed the replacement art offer. You can still download 'em and print 'em yourself though.

I thought it was just a simple plug n play. now I find all this:
Things to remember while connecting Wii LAN Adapter.
* Connect your ethernet cable directly from your broadband modem or wired router. If you are using modem, unplug the cable temporarily to the computer while connecting Wii console online.
* With power turned off, insert the Wii LAN Adapter into the USB port on the back of the Wii console.
* Connect an ethernet cord from your wired modem or broadband router to the ethernet port on the Wii LAN Adapter.
* Now, turn on the Wii console and follow the steps below to configure the internet connection settings.
Does this seem right? From what I know, next to nothing, it shouldn't matter what order they're connected in. Looks like I'll be trying this order out tonight.....most likely to no avail. Here's the link I got it from:
