(If you do want to be a mod DO NOT ASK TO BE A MOD - or you'll never get it).
Are you still the only Mod for this area? Or are there other ones listed that are kind of hands off in this area?

Yeah - he totally helps out when I'm not around, but it would be nice to have another Even if it's Moderator Kitteh

Moderator Kitteh would be so cool.

He could lay down some Kitteny justice.

Have you broached the subject with the new owners of the site (and/or the site administrator)? Never gonna get it done unless you get on their case to make it happen.

I wouldn't mind being a mod.

But I guess voicing that just eliminated me from the possibility.

Are the new owners or their staff even active in the running of the site? LockStock hasn't been to DVDTalk in almost a month.

You would think you would enjoy it. But modding isn't as entertaining as you would expect. It kind of sucks.

Yeah, I was a mod for a few years at a pretty large comic book message board. Most times it was a lot of work. I don't miss it at all.

Probably better to ask that in the feedback forum - but I think that LockStock has moved on and is replaced by someone else already. DVDTalk is a cog in the giant IB machine now.

A-Fucking-Men.

But I do enjoy the ass kissing that comes with it sometimes. Martin - I'm looking at you!

On the VG forum though? Why do we need two people to do nothing?

zing!

But seriously, the only time things get out of hand around here are during console launches. We grown men can be quite the twelve year olds about our allegiances.

Hey now - I have to read every damn thing on here to keep you punks in line!

But yeah - in all seriousness this forum is VERY well behaved compared to others. Even during console launches things are getting more calm, once a few certain posters were removed from the equation that is.

I am one of the mods for our clan forum and it is tiny in comparison to DVDTalk. The number of issues i have had to deal with is minuscule compared to what probably shows up on here. Also, based upon my ignore list on this board i wouldn't want to be a moderator here unless it came with the ability to deliver a perfectly aimed nutkick through the computer.

If you guys ever get the nutkick via the internet ability added to the forum i'll send in my application.

Well if you were working on your phd like i am you would understand this equation i use.

See i take the cost of the game, divide it by the number of hours it takes to play. Then i add bonus points if it is a sidescroller. If this number is higher than a certain threshold then i buy the game.

Gaming though isn't my primary free time activity. I prefer reading and movies because it makes me a much better person than everyone else.

Oh, and graphics don't matter.

Unless it is a game i like because of the graphics. Then it matters.

Did you know i'm getting a phd?

Yeah, Miyu is a mod at our gaming clan site. I am an admin there and oversee the entire forum from installing it, to updating, plugins, etc.

We're running a newer version of vB then what DVDTalk has, but we are a couple revs behind. I think the newest is 3.6.9 and we run 3.6.4

Man, i bust out the mad former poster impression and get no props. *tear*

Either way, :adjusts tiara:, i got the newest EGM today and the rumor section mentions that Gears of War 2 will have 5 on 5 battles. It also mentions a new camera angle.... think the series will have a FP option?

I wasn't reading VGT much when he was still around, and I got it and thought it was well done.

That's so 2007. Didn't you get the memo? 2008 is the year of blasting people on their opinions based on their Halo 3 stats.
