Time to break out Halo 3 again. When do these new maps come out?

250 are available today with the update. As for the other 500, it could be a retail map pack ala Halo 2 and they are tossing in 500 extra points for the effort since every retail disc has them. We'll never know, but maybe the map pack sales via Live aren't selling as well as the Halo 2 Map disc.

This is all wild conjecture of course. They could turn up on Live on Thursday which is the one year anniversary of Halo 3's release.

God dammit. God damn my friends making play that game and fucking up my percentages...

I'm guessing the 25th, which will be the one year anniversary of the release of Halo 3.

There'll be 6 maps in the Mythic Map Pack and they are...

- Assembly
- Citadel
- Heretic
- Longshore
- Orbital
- Sandbox

Bungie's also mentioned on their website that if you get all the achievements for the game you get a "special reward."

That's it? I'm down for more campaign but this certainly did not live up to the build up.

Whats the trailer for? (at work)

Expanded campaign missions as far as I can tell. There's really not much to go on. No date, no Master Chief, nothing. Just some meteors hitting a rundown city.

Is it me or is Bungie getting lazy?

Am I the only one thinking that they are adding the Flood to mulitplayer?

I played again last night, after several months of no playing it, and had such a fun. Now I remembered why this is my favorite Xbox Live game. Even if none of your friends are available you can join any MP match really fast. Waiting times are less than 1 minute. I can see all the complains that people have about this game, but I just don't care about them. This game is pure fun.

And oh yeah, everybody kicked my ass in most of the games. I actually did better in King of the Hill, and I think I'm good at Oddball too, but most people ban those options.
I actually have never played braaaains, so it was a really good surprise.

Add this to the long list of good solid fun but fleew by fast in favor of newer games. Just never played enough of MP like the second one and yea "King of the Hill" is a blast. Though I still tend to like "Fight Club" from Halo 2 as my all-time favorite. Still like to go thru co-op on this.

I'm curious but how does one get into 4 player Co-op in Campaign? Can you only do it with Friends or is it Public?

It's only with people you know, there's no public matchmaking for Campaign.

I guess you could set the party to 'open' and wait for random people to join.

Is Halo 3 on Legendary difficulity as impossible as Halo 2 is on Legendary?

I just finished Halo 3 in like 5 days on Hard. Would like to retry on Legendary if its possible to play. Halo 2 I was never able to even get past the first level, so I wanted to ask before I start.

It is easier. I never finished Legendary on Halo 2, but did in Halo 3.

I actually think the Legendary difficulty in HALO 3 is harder than HALO 2 Legendary.

I assume of course your playing solo, in co-op it's tremendously easy.

Is there anyone who wouldn't mind going on Easy with me on Co-op? Would love to play through but I suck at this game

Yeah, just playing solo. I don't have LIVE and doubt I could get the wife to learn this game. The Harry Potter games are the extent of her gaming skills.

I did Legendary solo through 3/4 of it and co-op for 3/4 of it as well (overlapping some levels) and I didn't have a problem by myself. It was tough, but not insanely impossible. I did have some problems in one of the areas at the beginning at the bridge.

Except for Cortana. Screw that level. I have yet to beat the game because of that level and my refusal to drop it in difficulty.
