Actually, they get easier and easier, because you get more and more powerful, and they pretty much stay the same.

I find those minigames tedious. I just wish that there was more variety, instead of having to play the same game over and over and over again.

I just got to the part where a Big Daddy was already blown up and I had to choose to harvest or save the Little Sister. I opted to save her... anyways, Im assuming that it's still pretty early in the game and I have not had the chance to get more slots for plasmids, right?

I killed someone with her own mask. I love telekinesis, I probably use it 95% of the time. I use it to grab stuff from afar, to hurl big objects at splicers for the one shot kill (great from a distance if you can get the aim right), and even to carry objects. For instance, I went and collected all the exploding barrels from the surrounding area by moving them all to one spot via telekinesis. Then I just chucked them one by one at the Big Daddy. I also use it when I find a first aid kit or EVE hypo in a remote area, but I'm completely full. I just carry it until I need to use it or until it's no longer practical.

I actually think a lot of the plasmids are rather useless... The cyclone trap is amusing but more of a pain than its worth. Enrage ends up getting me in more trouble than helping me out... I enraged a splicer to attack a Big Daddy, thinking I was stealthily wearing the BD down before I sprung my true attack. Once the splicer was dispatched the BD must've known I had sent the splicer and came after me! Same with Insect Swarm...

Target dummy I didn't appreciate at first. I always was trying to use it as a panic move when a BD was bearing down on me, which never worked. It hadn't occurred to me to use it do distract turrets and security cameras until later in the game.

Correct. You'll know when you have the chance to get more slots -- it's not something you can miss.

Another big fan of telekinesis... In fact between that and the electroshock one, those are the only 2 I use really.

I won the game last night on normal and promptly started a new one on hard. With so many people swearing by telekinesis, I'll have to give it a try this run-through.

This game is probably the best I've seen for the 360 thus far. The sound, the graphics, the exploring, the weapons, the storyline--all truly excellent. I use primarily telekenisis and incinerate, but like electroshock too. GREAT game overall...

A question I have about the endings...
Spoiler:
About the 'good' ending and the 'evil' ending... If I harvested the sisters up until killing Ryan, and have been rescuing them since, which ending will I get?

As mush as enjoyed the game I found most of the plasmids useless. I used Swarm, Target Dummy and Cyclone once each probably. Enrage also caused me more problems than I can count. Hypnotizing the Big Daddy was fun but I only did that a couple times. Telekinesis, Electrobolt and Incinerate were the ones I used the most.

So I'm at the "go collect anything you need to" point at the game and I'm dying with these stupid diaries. Is there any way of knowing how many you have or which ones you need in the game? I've gone back to every level and there are no rooms I haven't investigated, so I've obviously just missed some (not surprising). I'm also shocked I haven't invented 100 items. Does anyone know if you have to actually use the invented items? I'm maxed out on almost all of my ammo and I'm just inventing stuff to get the achievement, I hope I'm not wasting time but I would have bet I had way more than 100 invented by now.

From what I understand:
Spoiler:
if you harvest even one Little Sister, you will get the bad ending.

Both endings have been posted to YouTube, so if you want to see them without playing through a second time, you can.

With respect to the diaries, see post #253 for a list of them and where to find them. You can access your diaries via one of the tabs on the status screen. The diaries are organized by area, but unfortunately there's no way to tell whether you've missed one for a particular area except manually comparing it to a comprehensive list.

With respect to inventing things, you just have to invent. No need to even have room for it in your inventory. I think I got more than half my inventions when I was ready for the end of the game -- I just went up to a U-Invent and started cranking out crap I didn't need until I got the achievement.

Swarm is really nice at level 3 against 1 splicer. You can send the swarm out, and they will ignore you while swatting at the bees. You then see their health drop pretty quickly until they either die, or a single shot or wrench hit by you delivers the killing blow.

I use it, incinerate 3 and elctobolt 3 most. Telekinesis for things I can't reach or against missle turrets to throw them back or against a big daddy that is firing out mines.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to play through a second time to get the other achievement anyway... in addition to the others I screwed up because I went in largely spoiler-free. Like it never occurred to me to
Spoiler:
not attack Cohen at Fort Frolic. I just figured I was better off lobbing something at him from afar than approaching him because I assumed he would just attack me when I got close.

Well I must've gotten super lucky because I've had a pretty hard time with the other Daddies. The original was one of the bigger ones and the news ones are all like Rosie the Riveter: smaller and a bit more nimble. The electroshock shotgun pellets are great.

With so much talk about ammo being limited, I've barely used ammo. I get like 80% of my kills through melee. I don't even bother with the shock anymore because it takes the game like 5 seconds to cycle through magic and go to melee. The magic reloading time is also pretty terrible. It makes it not fun.

I like the game so far but I'm not super impressed and I can only hope I can sell it for $40-$50 in a week or so when I beat it.

Hold the left and right bumpers and use the analog to select your plasmids & weapons. You can set your weapon before a fight, say, Electro Buck Shotgun, then swap to Electro Shock plasmid. Start fight. Not sure where your 5 seconds are going.

That's just what it seems like. I know it's more "realistic" but it makes it kind of annoying.

I've been saving them up to now. So...I can save my game before I help the last one, finish the game, get the good ending, then load my save game, harvest her this time, and get the bad ending (and I am sure some achievement). COol!

You'd think if they're going to mine 90's titles like Pipe Dream and Pokemon Snap for ideas, they could've added some variety. Why can't we hack using an interface like Jezzball or Chip's Challenge?
