I hate the damn
Spoiler:
Rundas battle. And here he was my favorite hunter at the beginning, and now I hate the bastard. Ugh. I almost had it done for and he starts throwing those ice maces all over the place.

It was mentioned in IGN's review, so I don't think you're alone.

I've noticed it in all of the Prime games, including Corruption. As mentioned, it's fairly infrequent, but when it happens, it's hard to miss.

Also, looks like people have found a few Easter Eggs in the game already:

I've had that happen to me in the previous Metroid Prime games as well. It didn't happen often, but sometimes the doors would take longer to open than normal. It's happened to me a couple times in Metroid 3 too.

Did they just mention the loading doors or getting lost because of them? I'd be shocked if people turning away from the doors after shooting them and watching them half open is a frequent occurrence. The loading doors have been used in each game so far, except it was pretty relaxed on the first Metroid Prime causing game lock-ups.

I love the game, but like most my main complaint is the delay in some of the doors opening up. It can be anywhere from 5-10 seconds at times.

I guess I was prepared for it because of the previous Prime games. For me it seems to be a relatively uncommon experience in this game - most doors open right away.

I've experienced the delayed open doors quite a bit. I notice it happens more when I shoot the door before I'm actually standing near it. But I'd say every 1 out of 4 doors delays before it opens.

The delayed opening is to cover load times. The discussion is about whether or not anyone gets lost because they don't realize that the door will indeed open.

Yes, but people were saying that they didn't experience the delayed door very often. I'm saying I have experienced it fairly often.

The doors are the same as MP1 and 2. It's a method they used to integrate load times into the game, and I think it worked pretty well.

Silly silly complaint in the big scheme of things.

Completely agree as it was fine in the other games.

I will be adding all of these people to my friend's list tonight, so try to add me tonight as well. Anybody that shows up in black on my Metroid screen will get a friend token. Actually, I know some of them are already on there, but just in case anyone wants to see the current list of codes for MP3 owners.

PixyJunket: 6412 9669 8014 0667

chess: 2544 2260 3103 0128
Giantrobo: 3016 5988 8229 5603
Michael Corvin: 3497 1324 7344 6386
SmackDaddy: 4765 2116 0184 6098
steebo777: 3706 0375 3522 3738
Suprmallet: 6223 2319 6798 9269
UncleGramps: 3155 5265 7877 7786

These people own the game but their codes aren't in their signatures.

What online features are there? I made my way further into Rapture last night instead of trying out Metroid. I'm afraid I won't go back to Bioshock.

Nothing exciting, to be honest. You earn tokens in the game for various tasks such as scanning enemies and lore, beating bosses, etc. These tokens are used to unlock stuff in the extras menu. One type of token you have to get from friends, and they earn the right to send a token every 100 kills, for each shortcut found and for doing stylish kills. I've got about ten ready to send out and only UncleGramps is showing up in my list as having a Metroid save (and enabling token trading).

Sounds like a cool little feature. Nothing extravagant but nifty nonetheless.

That's what I thought, it's a cute little extra.

Anyway, I made it to the third planet last night and am twitching to get back to it.

Wow!!

Spoiler:
That battle falling down the pit was intense!! As another poster compared, felt like something straight out of Lord of the Rings! The planet you travel to afterwards sure is cool looking (atmospherically and graphically)

I sure did, you can find my post on the page before this one. I stayed away from talking too much because it appeared I was the first to get it here and I don't want to spoil any goodies.

Oh man, I really screwed up the first half of that battle and managed to get the final shot in (almost by accident) when I was less than 1000 meters from being squashed. That was some intense shit! I totally love it when games take you to the edge of your seat like that.

I'll have to clean out my friends list and add the people who aren't already on my list.

I'm still on Bryyo, and I just finished the big fuel gel generator puzzle that's immediately prior to a save point. That was actually a fairly enjoyable puzzle, thanks in part to the controls. The grappling stuff works well, and so do the various levers that you manipulate with the Wii remote. I haven't put as much time into this game as I'd like, though. Fortunately I'm taking off from work tomorrow and next Tuesday, so with Labor Day on Monday, I've got a 5 day weekend. There will be much Metroiding.

My Wii code is 0532 0556 2974 9764. I only have two friends vouchers right now.

I'm still stuck at
Spoiler:
Rundas
. I haven't tried after getting frustrated yesterday, but I think I'm about to try yet again here in a minute.

EDIT- First try today, and I beat the bastard! I let out a 'Suck it, bitch!' as the boss went down to defeat. Yay.
