Or you could get a VGA switch box that lets you toggle between PC and 360 with a switch. It is what I use since my monitor has no DVI port and one VGA port.

power lights. the green light on the 360, the amber light and display on the receiver, the red power light on the dvd player, etc. What really kicks it up is I have my modem and router in my setup which add about 5 lights each.

That sounds like my setup, putting the modem/router there for the non-wireless 360.

Oh, I had the Cat-5 run for the xbox/360 prior to me moving my modem/router. This location just works out better for my laptop and DS throughout the house.

I haven't seen it posted over here, but saw on CAG that TRU was selling Bioshock early. I picked it up this morning with the Madden deal and 20% of coupon floating around. Wound up with Madden for $47.99 and Bioshock for $29.99 + taxes.

fucking A, I would totally purchase Bioshock at that price. I think it's worth that (probably would pay up to 40 actually)

Dammit! We specifically went to a Tulsa TRU at lunch and were cock-blocked (shock-blocked?) by the clerk there. Of course he also said they didn't have copies yet, maybe later today.

A co-worker had the RROD and must have shipped his system back to x-box (not sure when as I was on vacation a few weeks ago, and had to go out on a medical - ruptured achilles tendon a couple of weeks ago), and just sent me this message:

"My new xbox 360 that got shipped to me is a premium...but with HDMI in the back, unless I've been a dumbass, other premiums don't have this. Must be a new SKU we just havent gotten in yet. Anyways I'm on lunch, back to work. Have fun..."

So, it sounds to me like they are shipping out brand new hdmi 20gigs if you send in your old one with the RROD. Of course YMMV.

Is that the first one he sent in? It could simply be a case of MS showing their nice side to those that have had multiple problems.

Wow, that would be a nice surprise indeed. I think I've settled into just letting my system Cirque du Rouge before pursuing an HDMI model. That way they'll refund my points for the XBLA games I've purchased and if the refurb I get back doesn't have the surprise HDMI on it, I can freely buy a new one at that point (with the possibility of 65nm depending on it happens) and use the refunded points on that.. then sell the refurb.

FYI - they have a workaround for the transfer of XBLA titles. You need to delete the game, then redownload it. Easy. :-(

Well, it didn't look like Liver&Onions recieved an HDMI system although it was brand new and recently manufactured.

Really curious to see what I get back now...

But does that retain full offline functionality on the new serial number?

My repair came back yesterday and the manufacture date was Feb 2006 - didn't notice any HDMI on it.

So far as I know, it's the first one he's sent in.

I'll ask him to verify the manufacture date on it.

Wait, wait, wait...come again?

Can you explain this in-depth? Would this work if I wanted to buy a different console? Would I still be able to use the games on both my gamertag and my wife's?

They told me go to your memory manager and delete the arcade games. Then go back to the marketplace, and redownload each title you downloaded. They should have a checkmark next to them allowing you to redownload without charge. I did it last night with one title and it seemed to sync with the new serial number with no issue.

Not sure about the gamertag issue as I only have 1 profile on the box.

Correct. A late July manufacture date and no HDMI to be seen. Oh well, my HDMI port is taken up by the PS3 anyway

Are you able to play the arcade games offline? Thanks.
