Ordered a HDMI unit from Amazon, having it delivered to my brother for his birthday, bastard better say thank you!

If by some chance it has the 65nm chip, I'm giving him my old one and taking the new one.

Can't speak for all BB, but the one here in Macon was a non-HDMI system. The box had also been opened. It really looked like they just opened the box, put a copy of Top Spin in and then placed the sticker on it.

I was highly disappointed. It was the only one in the store. I am so close to just buying an Elite and be done with it. At least I will know it has the heatsink and quieter drive.

I think I need to get a script going which disallows you to use the jinx dance emote

I always enjoyed the Ecco series even though I never finished them. Parts were regawdamndiculously hard but the calming music and underwater environment kept me calm.

So...I haven't pre-ordered any of the Big Shit games coming out in the next couple months, but I should still be able to pretty much walk in and get them a few days after release right?

Best Buy and Circuit City have been pretty good lately with having the big releases available on release day.

I liked the Stranglehold demo much more than I thought I would. I wasn't considering buying it, but now I probably will. It will probably wait until after Halo 3 and COD4, though.

Wal-mart too. Gamestop seems to be the only store that has a problem with not being able to order enough copies.

I grabbed that Flatout UC (Ultimate Carnage) demo (off the Euro servers) the other day, I gotta say that is one hell of an engine.

The physics, unrealistic as they are, are amazing, and the amount going on onscreen with minimal-to-no slowdown is just incredible. It's a stunning (visually) game, and is pretty fun thus far. (The weird thing being, much like the bubbles in Farcry (Gorgeous game, let's have Sprite bubbles!), the only real graphical problem is on the engines when your hood gets ripped off.. hopfully they fixed that).

Oh my god, Robo, if you don't pre-order these games NOW, you won't be able to find them for YEARS--oh, wait, I don't work at Gamestop anymore. Yeah, you can find them anywhere. Except Gamestop, of course.

Does anyone find it ironic that Gamestop's specialty is video games, but they are the store least likely to actually have a game on release day (if you don't pre-order it of course)?

Reminds me of the time I went to Pizza Hut, and they were out of pizza sauce.

I submitted and shipped my red ring'd 360 from the service.xbox.com site and haven't gotten it back yet. I think it's status has been sitting on "recieved at service center" for at least a week, but I haven't really been paying attention. Oh well.

Hope i get a new system too!

Yup. I went to Dairy Queen the other day and they were out of ice cream... and to a lesser extent, BBQ sauce.

It's stupid, but in Game Stop/EBs case, its intentional.

Well, I'm tired of trying to find one of the new premium systems with HDMI. I know it's still early but I'm ready to pull the trigger and pick up a 360.

I drove around to Costco (out of stock), Best Buy (out of stock) and Circuit City (had 2 systems left but were not HDMI).

Even though it's not as good a price compared to the premium after the price drop, I think I'm going to pick up an Elite so I know it at least has the better heat sync. The black will look nicer with my system as well.

Any last minute tips before ordering or package deals out there for Elites? I'll probably order tonight.
