Nintendo DS Thread - part VII

No, that's side-ways. I don't see how ^ that example will work unless upside-down.
It's going to be uncomfortable as hell holding that sideways with your left hand wrapped around the back of the thing and your right hand stylus-strumming.

Maybe there will be an option for both orientations. You make a good point.

Thanks!
"The Guitar Grip will plug into the Game Boy Advance slot at the bottom of the Nintendo DS system. Players put their hand through the strap of the Guitar Grip for a firm hold on the system, and then position the system in its vertical book form."
Now it makes a lot of sense, there's a strap on the back. I recommend everyone go to the IGN link and watch the video. I'm getting it on release day !!

It actually doesn't seem like a bad way to persue that market, but the touchpad strumming seems tedious.

I don't see how that will be comfortable for anything more than a short session. I'll probably still give it a shot -- if the price is right and there isn't very much overlap in songs between this and the other titles.

Taking the portable out of portable gaming. Who wants to lug that thing around? If I'm going to play GH at home I'll pop in GHII, GHIII, RB and eventually GH:Aero.

I'm sorry, but the whole GH: On Tour thing looks like a train wreck to me.
Boss battles are back, with DS-Specific powerups. Make your opponent blow into the mic because their guitar is on fire. Send raging fans to your opponent and make them sign autographs? Give me a break!

Something tells me that us ol' DS Phat owners will be left in the dust on this one.

Shiren the Wanderer is so damn addicting. After Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and Izuna, it's kind of funny that an old classic trumps both of them. I can only hope that this hits enough of its niche audience to get Sega to release the upcoming Shiren the Wanderer 3 for Wii.

As far as Rogue-likes. I believe this game has always been considered one of the best even though it was the second one they made and they have done a ton since. I've played my share, but just can't go back to one were you start from level 1 every time. It is nice that it has the rescue feature from the Pokemon game just in case you have someone that can come save you.

I made to 23 on my first attempt and I made it to 28 last night. So close, so close.
Hit me up if you need a rescue.

I use a hide shield when i can. I didn't think to eat weeds and such.
How high a level can you get to beat the main game (and then start the challenge mystery dungeon bit)?
Also, for a rescue, it always says i have 3 left. Do i request one and it give me a code that i post on here and you can take? How does that thing work?
