I actually loved his designs in Dragon Quest VIII. I have no problem with them using him in the remakes. I see it as Akira Toriyama art and not Dragonball, but I guess that is the thing he is most famous for.

Speaking of great looking art the new Professor Layton game is a big hit in Japan and we are thankfully getting the first game early next year. I'm really starting to get excited about the DS in early 08

Nanostray 2, Advance Wars Days of Ruin, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword and Professor Layton all in the first two months and I think Apollo Justice is due shortly after. Good times.

Anybody else checked out Mario Party DS yet?

It's quite a fun little game. The mini games are great, and the best feature... you don't have to watch the COM players buy stuff or duel if they duel each other. It just plays right through it and tells you the results.

The multi-player option is nice, but the party points you earn do not apply to your total.

You don't have to watch them duel on the Wii version either. There is an option to turn it off.

Well, my DS has been silent for about two months. Haven't had anything to play. Bought Puzzle Quest on an impulse buy last night at Target for $14.99.

I played the XBLA demo which was decent, just not something I'd be glued to the tv for. It seemed better fitted for portable. So here's hoping I can get into it. :)

As far as puzzle games go, I'm quite fond of Chocobo Tales. It looks a bit childish but its actually fun and pretty challenging.

I guess I'm with you on this one. I've just never liked Toriyama's art style so I've had a hard time working up much intrest in DQ. I guess I'm missing out, but what can you do?

I pulled my hair out at times playing this, but it is amazing. Some of the best looking boss sprites I have seen in a game. Very epic scale for a portable game.

I'm working on challenge mode now.

I just bought Word Jong and for those that like Mah Jong and/or Scrabble, it's an interesting fun take. I think the review on IGN pretty well sums it up. Good game for $20.00.

My store's Nintendo rep recently brought us the new download station cart, and everytime I make my guests aware of the Ninja Gaiden demo. :lol: I wish it was longer like the E for All demo, but it's still pretty solid.

Evil dark eye sight gave it 3 out 5. Seems to be a throw back to the original. Doesn't seem to be many people playing online according to the review.

Saw in Nintendo Power there is a new Bubble Bobble game coming out for the DS that is similar to the original on the NES, not the puzzle game the franchise became. Looks pretty cool.

Does anyone still play Animal Crossing or Nintendogs online? Getting my first DS tomorrow (already have these games for certain). Also, what should I consider renting? Mario 64 & New Super Mario Bros. are the obvious choices...what else is great in DS land?
