I love my 360, but I can live without it. I think the only system that I would freak out without is the DS.

Yeah well, I'm not counting on it because the last time around:

1. They claimed I would get my original 360 back...I got a refurb.

2. After finally telling me I was getting a refurb, they claimed "all the hardware in the Refurb was new and that this would fix all the problems". Within a month of getting the refurb it RROD'd.

No shock there. :p :lol: But never fear, I hear there's a HALO 3 hack where you can have Master Chief throw Turtle shells and Mushrooms. :lol: :p

Okay I just got my box back. It does not have HDMI but it is a brand new unit with a build date of 8/26/07 so I'm happy :)

I got mine today too. It's a refurb dated 6/06 (the one I sent in was dated 11/05) but looks brand new. As long as it doesn't red ring again, I'm happy. I need to test it with a DVD to see if it is any quieter than my original unit.

UPS delivered my 360 to MS yesterday, and they updated the status today to say they received it. Yay....

I just called for shit and giggles and no offense but I shoulda hung up as soon as I heard the guy's voice. Anyway, according to him I have to wait another 2 weeks and he claims it's being repaired and not replaced. Yeah...that's what they said last time. -ohbfrank-

Do they repair anything? How hard is it to check a box in and then send out a refurb? It should be a day or 2 turn around. I just don't understand why it takes so long not to fix anything.

My refurb was dated 9/06 and looks pretty good too and it is a lot quieter than my original which was dated 1/06. Still would have been nice to get a new one though.
My biggest disappointment about my refurb is my wife can't play arcade games on her profile now.

Call them. They'll refund your points so you can make it happen.

Sounds about right, i mean couple of years ago when the x360 was the only next gen. console it was the obvious choice if you wanted to play the latest console, but right now there another option and its a much grater value then the x360.

its actually a $250 difference the PS3 is $600 with a free game, and the x360 is $350 now.
alot of people cant afford $600 so they go with the $360 system, but i dont think its a good invesment,
i mean for $250 you get a system that wont brake, with a free Blu-ray player and free online and some other great features like dvd upscaling and such.

I tried that last night and they pretty much said tough luck. They know about it and it may be fixed in the future. I guess I wil have to keep bugging them.

u no wat is reely grate? When peeple come on heer and talk alot about how cool one console is compared to another. The not so grate thing is wen the deebait has been going on for yeers and we are tyred of seeing it.

Yeah - they told me to delete, then re-download the titles to get past that glitch.

Ask to speak to a supervisor...many people have done this with success. Be firm, let them know it's unacceptable.

I'm still curious to see if that'll work for me when I upgrade to the Elite.

I did try that but when I goto to her profile it still say play trial now.

If you have a gaming PC, there are PC ports of Gears and Bioshock. There is a 99% chance that Halo 3 will go to the PC as well since Halo 1 and 2 did.

If I only had a nickel for every time someone used the "PS3 is a better investment because it has Blu-ray built in" excuse... I could retire early.

I guess the PS3 may be a better deal for the whole 5% of the population that gives a rat's ass about HD movies, but for the other 95% it isn't a good deal.
