I'm glad I have those card readers since I can d/l the updates on my pc which only takes a minute(compared to the sometimes over 3hrs. it takes on the console) and dump them on a memory card and be updates within minutes.

No kidding! I had pretty much written off the entire afternoon from noon until 4, but I suppose I really should pack most of the day's work into the next hour.

After 2 aweful conferences (but seeing nintendos conference made the MS one not look so bad), i really have high expectations. I think we're gonna see a lot of surprises, a lot of 1st party games, and they are going to talk about free online gaming a lot i bet.

I didn't get it either. You can swap out the drive. Other than that you are/were paying $100 for wireless. The same people, mind you, that bitch about having to pay $100 for a wireless adapter for the 360.

I'm betting Sony brings some big guns to the table. They can't afford not to.

I don't know what you were expecting, both of their shows were pretty solid if not for a little underwhelming with the lack of big surprises. And in hindsight.. neither had to throw anything of that caliber out to attract people to their system, they're already buying them; so both companies just needed to reiterate what's coming and what to expect.

^agreed. Like I said in the Nintendo thread, they along with MS needed to just keep on truckin'. They don't need any huge surprises being the top two leaders.

I doubt Sony will be massaging their numbers as much as Nintendo or MS. There aren't enough there to massage.

They'll probably put up PS2 numbers and talk about how they're the "industry leader", or something.

They will probably say they sold more PS3s at launch then they did for PS2s launch.

Looks like Konami has a "major announcement" for their show (not Sony's).

I wonder if it will be Metal Gear on other consoles.

Castlevania 2008: Transylvania Whipland for the DS

Spoiler:
That I'd still buy, because I'm a sucker for 2D Catlevanias, even if they're just cookie-cutters now

No, but trouble from there usually comes in the morning, so I'm clear.
