I hope they revert the SOCOM controls back to the first FTB game and not base it on FTB2. That was my biggest complaint to them at last year's E3. Made it so much harder to try and toggle thru weapons while engaged.

anyone have any idea of how many d/l's you can cue up at once on the PS3? I currently have 12 videos set up which is really nice as I don't have to keep checking every so often to see if one finished so I can add another like I do with my 360(isn't the 360s limit 6?).

All 3 presentations were generally in the same ballpark. None stood out amongst the other 2. Fans of each console can point to their respective presentations and find something to get excited about.

Killzone looked really fantastic. It's not really the kind of game I want to play, but I give them credit for making it look so fantastic. But it amazes me the cache part 2 has considering how lackluster part 1 was. Not a terrible game, but definitely nothing special.
I can see Home being a big deal, but for that to take off doesn't the PS3 need to be more accessible to the people who are most likely to use that -- mainly teens? Then again, maybe the demo's in second life don't skew as young as I think.

We can all nitpick the others to death, but none were heads above the rest. They each served their audience well and did what they were supposed to do, give the fans of their respective consoles something to get excited about. The only thing that truly stood out for me was WiiFit and I doubt it is something I will even buy. I think that says something. I bet the scaling down of E3 probably played a big role in the big three keeping everything in check.

Also, thinner and lighter with better battery life and a faster UMD drive is also worth getting. I will probably buy the Daxter bundle in Sept. You really can't beat it with a game, a few episodes of Family Guy and a 1GB stick.
I should also be able to download a show on the PS3 when their video service starts, put it on my PSP and watch it in any room I want without dragging the PS3 from room to room.
I know its not for everyone, but I definitely see uses for this.

Unless it will be impossible to find, I'm planning on getting the Star Wars PSP.
Now if only they had added a second analog stick, but I realize that wouldn't be possible (new games wouldn't work well on older systems).

I'm enough of a Star Wars whore to want that Star Wars PSP. And I may buy it, too.
Out of the games shown, the only new game that had me interested was the MC Escher-looking thing. The rest I knew about.
I do like that UTIII will be able to feature PC mod content. I highly doubt the 360 will do that, so I'll probably get the PS3 version of the game.
Other than those three things, nothing about this has me super excited for the PS3. Obviously MGS4 will be amazing, but that's not new news. This conference was no better or worse than the other two.

The new PSP looks cool, but I mainly want one to hack it for homebew. There's also 2-3 games I'd like to play.
I like the video out feature (nice on trips for playing games/compressed DVDs via memstick in the hotel, or playing handheld games at home) but I don't like the price hike for it. Zero interest in UMDs.
I'll likely pick up an original PSP sometime in the next year and hack it. If the new PSP proves to be homebrew-capable I'd be interested.

is the analog any different? I thought that was the biggest complaint about the PSP.
