Well Last night I got the "Nothing Special" achievement. 2 more to go....

I have been playing versus, but it's insane how your gameplay experience can differ when you have a good group with you. I was in a game where the other team was obviously a party because they were really damn good. Coordinated attacks when they were infected and they stuck CLOSE together when a survivor. I can never get my team to do that. They always want to "haul ass" to the exit. Of course then one person can't because they are getting hit by a zombie, that leaves them open, and BAM you're in a firefight to rescue one person.

The game is damn fun though.

I still can't figure our Versus. Everytime I play, I'm a creature that spawns and then instantly killed by a human. Lame.

I have the same problem. I'm obviously missing something as an Infected, though the last time I played I was able to actually do some damage.
My group (as Survivors) also hauled ass to the endpoint, but we did stay together enough to fight off Infected if need be. Surviving to the checkpoint and taking little damage helps jack up your score, so I guess that's what they (we) were going for.
I still think I prefer co-op campaign.

Versus mode is awesome.

You really need 4 human players on the Infected team. Coordinate the attacks and keep an eye on any survivor that separates from the herd. You will die over and over again but you can slowly wear them down. If a Smoker drags a person back a ways then the rest of the team is forced to either backtrack and save them or let them die.

The Boomer is also pretty badass imo when it is played by a human. Spawning a horde of zombies of them and while they are overwhelmed having a Hunter teammate jump on someone - a smoker pull another out of the pack.

Good times.


I freaking love versus mode.

You have to plan your spawn out. Spawn away from the group. Don't go in by yourself. Obviously if you pounce someone next to 3 people you'll be killed right away. However, see if someone gets away from the group. Maybe they weren't paying attention. Then you can pounce and do a lot of damage before they kill you.

It takes a little patience, and the respawning is CRAZY annoying, but it can be very fun if you have a good team with you.

The best thing to do in Versus IMO... Is have the Boomer puke on the Survivors and then let the smokers and Hunters do their thing. But you really want to take advantage of the ones that stray from the pack.

I suck at Versus but I've noticed that having your Boomer sneak up and on the group then having someone freak out and shoot you works well because they get splashed which triggers a horde attack. Also, having the Boomer jump off of high areas so you land near the survivors is also good because you explode on impact again triggering an attack. Like Larry C. said, these are the times when you can do damage with other Infected because the Survivors are distracted.

Man, I gotta play this weekend. I've been playing SW:FU because it's less of a time commitment during the week.

Yup, if you don't have a good boomer, you're screwed. I personally hate being the boomer. You are slow, hard to judge the distance your puke goes, and you are easily spotted in most areas. Also, it seems like after you die it gives you the longest respawn time.

Some people seem to love it though. I like being the hunter or smoker. However they need to up the smoker damage a little bit.

Also I had the BEST pounce as a hunter the other day. My pounce was from high on a building directly onto a guy on the ground. I did 60 damage just from the initial hit.

I think I like the smoker the best. The other day I killed 3 survivors back to back to back with instant kills. They where on the 2nd floor in a building and I got them, pulled them and when they fall from a high distance they just die. It was great!

My best pounce was when there were 2 survivors left and me and a buddy both spawned as hunters. They were almost at their safe room so we both ran into the safe room and waited like 20 seconds. They step into the room and before they can close the door we each leap on each of them and kill them in their own safe room with the door still open.

Wow finally got the "All 4 Dead" achievement!!!! Only have to kill 22,000 zombies to have the 1000 gamer points!!!!!!!!!

Just got this game and loving Versus mode. Anyone care to make me their friend on XBOX Live? I'd really like to play with team members who actually communicate with their teammates.

that the one where u kill all 4 with the tank in one life? That shit is hard, me and my buddy tried it by kinda cheating, he was on the surviovors and shot everyone until they were in the red when i was the tank and they still killed me before i could take him out.

Then we tried it on the roof map, level 4 on no mercy, tank punched all 4 guys off the roof but it didnt give the achievment.

The All 4 Dead achievement was so easy to me. I still can't get all 4 people with the Boomer at once. I'm not even attempting some of the achievements as they are just ridiculous. Nothing special? Come on.

I was playing versus this weekend And I ran across some real dickery. In one match we started as Infected and we did pretty good in the 1st match, So what happened? They all quit. Then I played a match where a guy decided to block a door in No Mercy with the yellow generator. Granted the other team kicked the guy but then a guy on our team did the same. So the game just went downhill after the first block.

That sucks dude Sometimes when one commits dickery then all dicks break loose.

That is the real problem with versus. It's not so bad if you're a survivor and one person quits because the computer players are good enough to hang.

However if you're the infected and you lose players, you are fucking toast. You need all 4 infected to really plan and do some significant damages. Once that one person quits it's such a downer that people rarely stick around.

I see it all the time though. That first team has all 4 people survive and then the other team starts dropping like flies. I think it's stupid since there is no ranking ladder or anything like that in this game so just enjoy the levels and enjoy playing both sides of the match. People are little sore pussies though.

Also the blocking the stuff is garbage, but it seems people find it fair. All you need to do is make sure you have pipe bombs though. Also, try to keep an oxygen tank from the hospital. I always try to remember those things.

Yea what can you do. I feel if you can do it and both teams can do then fine you just have to have a plan to attack or defend it. But ppl dropping out sucks.

Are there any known achievement glitches? I finished No Mercy with no vomiting on and no friendly fire (this was confirmed in the after game rundown), but neither popped. I was so amped about the no vomit one, only to be crushed when no achievement popped.
