anyone been able to try the DOOM Beta? i got a free invite and all that. downloaded and thought today was the day, but every time i go to sign on my connection to XBOX Live is lost. is that my connection which i just tested and is doing just fine? or are the servers down or something?

Nope...and I'm ticked because I tried my Doom Beta Key several times and I'm getting the "The code you entered is either wrong or invalid. Please check it again"...or something like that on the PS4.

I pre-ordered and got the game but honestly cannot remember if I put the code in...thought I did...but I haven't got an invite. I did see one friend on my list playing but he's over in Europe (from Diablo).

A doesn't work for me at all. B is excellent, but screams "remember the original game guys?! That was awesome and so are we!"

Both are infinitely better than the official cover art, though.

Totally playing us for the "new school" and "old school". :) I think they are truly trying to see who's going to be buying this game more. Us old guys are more than likely going to vote nostalgic and vote B because it reminds us (and me playing the original on my Packard Bell back in the day) of our youth.
Voting A seems more current and more Doom 3 like, reaching out to the younger crowd. I haven't cared enough to look but I would think to say there aren't a lot of original Doom programmers working on this one.
Doesn't really matter to me on the cover art overall. Doom, 13 hour campaign, sign me up. I won't be spending time looking at the cover once the shrink wrap is torn off.
