Is there a demo for The Darkness out?

Not yet, is there going to be one?

Looks like most of those new Gears achievements deal with the new DLC. So, it looks like I won't be picking any of those up until September, when they're free.

There was supposed to be but there was an article a couple days ago on 360fanboy that had a bulletin that was sent to Darkness MySpace members.

So unfortunately it looks as though it will hit, but it may happen after the game releases.

Which also can be translated into the following.

"We have a feeling that if you downloaded a demo, you wouldn't buy our game.."


Which can be translated into..

"Our game sucks."

That's just my guess.

Yeah, cause it couldn't possibly be the fact that they just haven't finished the demo yet.

I love me some PoP. I have the classic version of 1 & 2 both unlocked on the Xbox's Sands of Time. If I got a 360 I don't know that I'd buy this as opposed to just unlocking them again. I like the updated graphics and what-not, but I really REALLY don't like that they dumbed down the challenge with the yellow and red icons on the pressure plates so you know what to hit and what to avoid and the swirling purple stuff around important things.

Is there a "classic" mode to this PoP Classic title?

cod2 demo came out long after the game was released.

Over on the Guitar Hero forums, someone from Red Octane has finally made some comments about future DLC.

It was stated that there that there is a delay, but they can not discuss the reason for it.

Either way, it sounds like there will be more songs coming .. just no clear idea of when.

Crossing my fingers that it's the 80's song pack

The new 80s expansion has been announced as a PS2 exclusive, so perhaps they would come out with other 80s tracks for 360 users .. Hopefully it won't be another couple months before they say anything else.

Perhaps the disc (with the different character models/stages) is exclusive. Therefore, the songs (which is all anyone really cares about) could be bought in as DLC. Just my 2 cents.

I'm friggin' horrible at Prince of Persia. There is something about the jump function that just irks the hell out of me. I'll give it another shot after work.

Ya, I played the demo of PoP, and it was more annoying than I remembered. I think I'll pass, especially for $10.

The jumping is exactly how I remember it, almost lagged-feeling. Managed to get used to it pretty quick.

Just read over in N4G.com that Project Sylpheed demo has been released, anybody try it yet?

All speculation, of course, but maybe this is why they charge so much for the DLC. If the price of the DLC for all the songs was actually cheaper than the new product, why go buy the new product?

Case. Manual. Game disc. Resale value. Trading/borrowing value. Numerous reasons.

Of course. I'm just saying if the DLC was cheaper than the new game, they would probably miss out on a bunch of sales. I know I'd eschew all of what you list above for the convenience of being able to access all the songs within one game if the prices were relatively the same.

I dl'ed it today and didn't like it too much it wasn't terrible it just wasn't much fun to me. It seems to have some nice features like the ships are highly customizable.
