Reptillia (by The Strokes)
Uch. The Strokes may be the worst band in any Guitar Hero game to date.

Agreed about The Strokes. Also not terribly excited about The Hives over in Rock Band.

Awesome, but the song will be freebirdian in the sense that it will take forever to get to the fun to play part. Give me something from Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets instead.

Hey, its many times better than Enter Sandman, so it is a welcome addition in my book.

Sounds like Activision is taking the same pills as Sony.

Sneak peak at Through Fire and Flames by Dragonforce in GH3.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I will not pass this first try I also like how they are keeping the solo a secret. I don't even wanna know what it's like.

I like the "50" & "100" note streak notifications.

I don't think I will EVER beat that song on Expert. It really looks like they are upping the difficulty for this one.

So did I hear right when they said this was going to be a bonus song and not in the regular setlist? Considering I can't beat Hangar 18 on expert, much less something like Jordan, I sure as hell hope so!

The beginning of the Dragonforce song is just one big long HO/PO, so if you can just hold down Green and nail the other buttons, you should be able to do it on a strum or two.

wuLFe, the #1 guy on the XBOX leader boards said he failed it 20x before beating it... with a 3*. That opening killed everybody who tried it, but it doesn't look to hard once you get the pattern/speed down.

It seems very similar to Jordan in terms of difficulty, but at least it makes sense, whereas Jordan's solo just appears to be random notes.

the problem with Jordan is that there is really no way to recreate Buckethead's killswitch on his guitar and have that translate to the GH controller

Are you saying that you have trouble playing the song because you aren't using a killswitch?? That part of the song isn't difficult to play at all. Just because you don't have a killswitch doesn't make it harder. The solo is the problematic part.

Anyways, a guy on scorehero did a "killswitch" mod where he transformed the select button to function like the strum bar. Pretty silly, but at least you can pretend you're buckethead while playing the song.

no, i wasn't commenting on that at all. It was in response to the "random notes" statement made previously

Can't wait to play ONE. I agree with the Freebird comparison, but I do like the beginning of that song.

Any news on pricing for the game only version? I don't really need a 2nd guitar, even though these look a bit cooler than the GHII guitars.

The standard $60, not counting any deals.

With the 300 or so hours I'll probably log on this baby that comes out to 20 cents an hour.

For the PS2:

Wonder why they didn't go with the Les Paul body. Kramer would have worked much better as an '80s bundle
