I wouldn't relate it to evanescence at all, considering its a completely different genre.
Lacuna Coil is a metal band that uses 7 string guitars, which means detuned and extremely low sounding (think of a bass)

Oh well. My first comparison would have been Nightwish, but seeing how the poster had never heard of Lacuna Coil it is doubtful he'd heard of them either. I went for something mainstream.

I went for something mainstream.Nightwish is a much better comparision. But most people havent heard of them and maybe to some people Evanescence and Lacuna Coil sound similar enough...but not to me. Not to hate on you...I just get sick of the comparision being made when it's not close.
