Yeah man I was wondering where you went. I still really suck at this game so you could have had a few laughs at my expense lol

I'll be around, but it may be late...no idea how long it'll take me switch everything over to the Elite I bought today.

Last night, when I logged off, there were 1.2 million people on. This was around 4:30 AM EST.

The amazing thing is, there wasn't a bit of lag.

OK, I just finished the single player campaign. Can someone explain something about the ending (two somethings, actually):

Spoiler:
1. I never played the first two Halos, but as I understand it, firing the Halo would destory all life within a jillion light years -- killing the Flood, but killing everything else, too. So why didn't firing the Halo kill everything this time?

2. How exactly did the Arbiter make it back to Earth while Master Chief wound up in the middle of nowhere? I know it's implied that the ship got split in two, but weren't the Arbiter and the Master Chief both in the cockpit?

Oh, and a big thumbs down to Bungie for putting the ending after a long credits sequence and setting it up so that if you accidentally hit a button during the credits, you get dumped back to the main menu with no way to see the ending.

I know I'm the only person in the universe who's more into Halo single-player than Halo multiplayer, but if you're going to include a single-player campaign on the game, do it right.

Spoiler:
1. Well, if I'm not mistaken, setting off one only does so much damage. There are more than one. All Halo's put together cause a minor disturbance in the force.
2. I believe the Arbiter was in the cockpit, while MC and Cortana were in the cargo area.

Yeah, we actually didn't get to see the ending after the credits either as someone pushed a button. Had to go online to see what happened.

There's at least two of us. I'll play online some (co-op lately), but to me, the single player campaign is more interesting.

I think I can answer your second question...

Spoiler:
There was some mention of a portal closing. I also got bored/lost with the plot. Apparently the ship was escaping and the portal closed with the front half of the ship through and the second half not. MC was in the back. The ship was split into two halves.

So, I know about the first day reports of Halo selling $170 million. Any new total sales numbers since it went on sale and if it helped moved more Xbox 360s?

Yeah, while it drives me crazy seeing 1 million people online and not being able to find a match almost instantly, I am continually amazed at how well they handle such huge loads.

I would imagine that 1 million includes everyone playing the campaign as well since the whole game is Live aware, not just the MP.

Could be. I haven't taken the time to add up the number of people online in the different matchmaking modes. But it does tell you the number of players in each game type and those numbers are huge as well in the more popular ones.

I'm still having trouble getting into matchmaking. It's worked plenty of times before so I don't think it's my setup. Anyone else having trouble?

Any time i have a hard time I just back out and try again; that always seems to work.

During the evening it's seemed to be better than during the day.

Good games tonight guys. I really like Big Team Battles on the sand map.

Finished the campaign last night. I did a little more than half on Legendary (up to the Ark), and finished up on Normal. I wanted to get through the story and focused on finding skulls and terminals.

Speaking of, I found all the terminals and didn't get the achievement for it. What gives? Do you have to wait until the screen turns red?

I was playing through the game with my cousin that already got the terminals who was helping me get the achievement, and he told me that you do have to wait until the screen turns red. When the screen turned red, the screen of the terminal moves and the text changes. Then you can just keep hitting A to skip through all the text, unless you want to read it all.

I am one terminal away, but from what i understand, you have to hit A (usually about 3 times), then let the screen turn red, THEN it moves and you have to go through another about 3 pages of yellow text, then exit out.
