I didn't like the last few levels either. Plus the final level reminded me of Resident Evil 4's last level a bit. So it was nothing too special imo.

So is anyone else getting messages about their NAT? The game keeps saying my NAT is set to strict or moderate. I tested it through the Xbox Live connection and it says my NAT is open. Not really sure what's going on there.

P.S. Anyone up for some Legendary co-op?

What the hells up with the censored making of documentary? I just watched it and every swear word was bleeped. They even blurred one of the bungie employees flipping the camera off! This is an M-rated game so why should they have to censor it? Just kind of annoying.

Ok, I was trying to wait to buy Halo 3 so I could pretend to be too cool to be caught in the hype; but after talking to a buddy at work I took the plunge and got the Limited Edition. My disc had some light scratches but I hear MS/Bungie is replacing them so as long as it plays while I see if I can order a replacement it's no big whoop.

See ya'll online....maybe.

EDIT: I just went to MS's replace discs site and I don't know if I want the hassle so I may just take it back tomorrow.

Miyu,

The link is in my personal video game blog. Gosh. You should have known I'd have covered that.

Know that you have to send the the disc, then they'll ship back a replacement and it supposedly takes 2 weeks. Great, 2 weeks without your disc. I was originally told they would ship a pre-paid package first like they do with consoles, but that's apparently not true. Halo 3 will be replaced for "Free" until 2008....isn't that nice of them

I've been playing the disc and I haven't had any issues so I may just go ahead and keep it. I went online and played a basic training match and was reminded of why I stopped playing HALO 2 online

Well the disc that is scratched for me is the second bonus disc. If they will replace that thing i will send it back first. I can live without it for 2 weeks.

Finally got my Legendary Ed. from Circuit City yesterday. Helmet looks awesome. Looking forward to playing some multiplayer tonight, and maybe even some campaign.

Embarrassing Halo 3 moment:

Last night I went through the first mission and found one of the skulls. I'd heard about them, but I didn't really know what to do with them. I just knew that there may be some Achievements, and some score multipliers.

Anyhow, the one I found was at the beginning of the first mission, and I picked it up....nothing happened. So I figured - "well, I guess I have to lug this S.O.B. with me until the end of the mission". So I proceed to carry it the entire mission, dropping it whenever I need to gun something down, and get to the end when the game made me drop it.

This morning, I go online and see that all that I have to do is pick it up and enable it. Wow.....

Even worse - one time I dropped it in a swamp, and I spent about 15 minutes trying to find it, because the auto-save kicked in after I dropped it.

So how do you activate skulls? I haven't found any and haven't looked. The game is hard enough on Heroic as is.

Just by picking them up.

yea, you can just save and quit after getting a skull. Each has it's own ability. Before you start a level, theres a way to activate any number of skulls you've obtained, gaining those traits for the mission.

FINALLY got my copy. Initial impression:

I am currently gaming on a 22" monitor in HD, and the visuals fail to amaze me. Now, with the reports that the resolution is downgraded to 640p, I definitely agree that this isn't the visual stunner that Bioshock and GoW was for me.

Playing it on Heroic, and it is turning out to be challenge. Not too much, just right though.

I think that they got all happy that they designed new weapons that they forgot to put a good ratio of the older ones in also.

I really would like to try the online multi-player part, but the latency for my internet connection won't allow this unfortunately.

When I played through the campaign I never found any skulls. And, I only found two terminals.

The first one is off to the right of one of the first cliffs.

The 2nd one is on top of the steel pipe where you went to the base at the start of level 2. You have to jump on top of the steel support, then jump up to the pipe and walk all the way to the end.

Trust me, they're so out of the way it's not even funny. It's not like turning in to some corner that you're not supposed to go. You'll find cool weapons that way, like the flame thrower or rocket launcher on some missions. The skulls? No, you have to jump to some crazy ass places that would make Mario proud.

I don't think you're on my friend's list. I guess I could make a custom game for you though. Probably won't have anything to do with shitting in the woods... or bears for that matter.
