I'm knew to this whole skulls thing and I found the first one. What do I have to do to claim it? I picked it up and was running around with it for a little while but then lost it.

I finally found a couple hours to play. I love it! The game is great. I thought the graphics would be better, but they are definately good. Is there a way to adjust the controller so that the left stick moves forward, left, and right, and the right stick does up and down? I know this is a non-prefered control scheme, but it's the one I like.

Finished the campaign last night --- AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME.

I have been playing MP here and there a little since Tuesday and it is terrific as well. I plan to dig into it alot more now that I have finished the campaign. Halo 3 is definitely the best in the series and the best game of 2007.

What do you mean, slop? I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like you can change the difficulty and just lose your mid-chapter save... you can still start at any chapter break.

Unless you mean for getting the achievement, that I have no idea about.

Someone else was asking about getting the chapter achievement if you stop play mid-chapter... I can confirm that you do get the achievement. From the description, it sounded like you don't get it if you start the chapter solo and then switch to co-op, most likely because there are separate achievements for co-op and solo chapter finishes.

I started my game over--I found no way to change the difficulty setting. The only choice was 'continue solo game'

You can highlight the difficulty setting and change it, can't you?

I finished the campaign last night and to be a bit of a voice of dissent, I wasn't all that impressed. It really felt like just "more of the same" but in HD. A lot of the levels could be run through by jumping a lot, which to me is bad design. I did really enjoy the scarab fights, though.

Spoiler:

Relating to the story, perhaps I missed why this was happening, but why did the big bad tentacled flood guy reach his arms out to grab you on more than one occasion in cutscenes and then just pull back? The final time it happened, I really expected that he'd pull the aircraft back in and then we'd have to fight him, but instead we just got away.

Also, was a different team at Bungie responsible for making Halo 2? In the bonus disc that came with the limited edition, they seemed to have some not so nice things to say about that game (relating to how they did things differently this time around, like writing the story, scarab encounters, etc). I just found that as really odd.

Only if you want to replay a level you've already finished, not if you want to start over on the level you're in the middle of.

I started on Legendary, half-way through the first level I realized that I bit off more than I could chew. I wanted to bump it down to Heroic, and I just couldn't, as the only option you get in solo play is to continue. So I had to delete my save and start over.

Ok so I'm now the official owner of a Halo 3 CE copy Ordered for $56 shipped from Familyvideo.com. So now I have Halo 3, 9600 XBLA points, VGA cables, MadCatz controller (with 3 XBLA games), and Arcade Unplugged V. 1 (with 6 XBLA games). Now there's only 1 thing missing: The Xbox

If you used it before you'll need a new one, you should do GatorDeb360.

If you want to blow some more money, I'd recommend the Plug and play kit if it isn't part of your bundle.

Rechargeable AAs work fine, but having used both, I get a longer charge out of the MS battery. That's compared to brand new Energizer rechargeables.

I have plenty of rechargeables between the digital cameras, AA->PSP adapters, wireless mouse/keyboard, etc Glad to know it uses rechargeable batteries!

I'm not a huge fan of the plug and play kit...it takes toooooo long to recharge...which means you're using a wired controller way too much. I'd prefer to use 2 battery packs with the charging kit, or just stick with rechargeables (the Sanyo Eneloops I use seem to last just as long as the MS battery).

I've only had my rechargable battery pack die on me once during gameplay. The charge lasts pretty long, and when it does start to get weak, i just plug it in before I power down my 360 for the night. The only problem I have now is that I need to replace one of my battery packs because it can barely hold a charge now, although I've had it for almost 2 years now.

Yeah, rarely does my battery die in the middle of gaming. If I notice I have a single bar left, I plug it in and charge overnight. Something I wish I could do on the PS3.
