I bought the solitare one, was the first theme I bought

I bought a UL Football gamerpic pack. This was previous to the camera release. That's the only one.
|
I bought the Penny Arcade theme as well when it first came out. Had it as my background for a long time. I've bought maybe 1 single gamerpic and 1 gamerpic pack. If they made a Penny Arcade pack with Div as gamerpic I would buy it in a heartbeat. :)

I think that if you own the game it should automatically open up the themes and gamerpics for free. It is like free advertising for the game when you scroll through peoples gamercards and see the pics. More than once I have asked where a person got their pic from and that peaked my interest in getting the game. :-)

I agree. Or at least include a different set of themes gamerpics on the disc. That way gamers win AND MS wins.

Gates hints at plans for new videogame control system Ellie Gibson 09:34 (BST) 05/06/2007 Talks video recognition technology as possible evolution of control Bill Gates has revealed that his vision for the future of gaming involves a new control system where players swing a bat or racket as they would in real life - but said it won't be the same as the Wii. As reported by AllThingsDigital, Gates' comments came during a panel interview which he took part in with Apple boss Steve Jobs. Turning to the subject of how the home PC's role is evolving, Gates said, "As we get natural input, that will cause a change... Software is doing vision and so, you know, imagine a game machine where you just can pick up the bat and swing it or the tennis racket and swing it." The interviewers suggested Nintendo has already created such a machine in the form of the Wii - but Gates replied, "No, that’s not it. You can’t pick up your tennis racket…And swing it. You can’t sit there with your friends and do those natural things. "That’s a 3D positional device," Gates continued. "This is video recognition. This is a camera seeing what’s going on." Gates has previously been critical of Nintendo's strategy with Wii. Back in January he was quoted as saying, "Look at the resolution you get with a controlled experience like that. Say to yourself, how in terms of using a game for a long period of time, what kind of accuracy and capability do you want?" Chris |

Microsoft to offer free music videos over XBL Matt Martin 11:23 (BST) 05/06/2007 Live service forms part of new Ignition program Microsoft is incorporating Xbox Live into its new Ignition program, offering free music to consumers via console, Zune media player and MSN. Music videos will be made available for free over the Xbox 360 online service, as Microsoft begins to offer promotional packages across the company's multiple media offerings. "The Ignition program is designed to connect with a substantial consumer audience," commented Christina Calio, director of music marketing for Zune. "Consumers are looking for ways to find new music, and Ignition helps connect artists with potential new fans by giving them multiple opportunities to listen to, watch or read about artists across Microsoft's online platforms." Record labels and artists using the service can expect month long promotions across the multiple formats, with free and exclusive music forming part of a package that promises access to more than 30 million consumers. If Gates can pull it off, it would be what I wanted the Wii to be. However, I just don't think the technology is there yet, and especially not at anywhere near the price the Wii is.

Free music videos and movie trailers on Live is something i would really like to see more of. I frequently go to quicktime.com to look at new trailers so being able to see them on my TV would be awesome.
|
I'd like to be able to download videos, tv shows, movies, etc on the xbox live marketplace then move them to my Zune if I wanted. How hard would that be?

It's this...

 Nope, but my guess was a lot closer than the usual hoopla around these silly "major announcement at 11" releases.
