I guess I have to google tversity I've never even heard of this 'til now.

Decadance 05-13-07 12:10 PM

My 360 would get about half the usage it currently does if it wasn't for TVersity.

RichC2 05-13-07 02:44 PM

I've been using Orb for my 360, I wish MS would just give up and up the stream capabilities :(

xmiyux 05-13-07 02:46 PM

It takes a pretty beefy PC to run TVersity doesn't it?

Decadance 05-13-07 02:57 PM

# Pentium III 700 Mhz or better (Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz with support for Hyper Threading is recommended)
# 128 MB of memory or more (512 MB recommended)
# 50 MB of disk space (At least 1 GB of free space is recommended for cache area of transcoded media)
# Windows XP or Windows 2000
# DirectX 9.0 or higher
# Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher

not really.

I wish my xbox would die. I have a 2 years old warranty from BB and I want to upgrade to the Elite. :p

I bought it in December 2005. I've applied all the patches, I play Gears of War almost every night, I've played all the games that have issues. I also have the hd-dvd add on, and I have been able to watch the 20+ movies I bought with no problems.

I'm sure my xbox will die the next day my warranty ends. :)

Ah, i must have seen the recommended specs because i thought it required above a 2 Ghz processor. Good to know - i will have to check it out when i upgrade next.

Potentially stupid question: Is it possible to play co-op with someone on the same 360? While my gf and I can be logged on at the same time, and we can play Smash TV and Gyruss together, we're not able to unlock any of the co-op achievements. Is that correct, or am I just doing something wrong?

It depends on the game, I guess. I've done co-op on the same box on Guitar Hero, TMNT: Arcade, Alien Hominid & Eets Chowdown, just to name a few. I would think that any game where you can play co-op on the same TV would allow both players to get achievements if they are both logged in via their seperate GamerTags.

So I finally was able to get TVersity to communicate with the 360, and the photos and music play perfectly. When I try to play videos from the 360, MediaServer.exe crashes on my computer, but the thing is that TVersity on my computer won't play the videos either. Anyone ever run into this issue? I have a feeling that it I could get TVersity could play the videos on my computer, they would stream fine on the 360.

The videos will play through WMP with no issues, but not with TVersity. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've gone though the TVersity faqs and forums without any luck so far. So close! Help!

I downloaded it when I seen the post on Xbox360fanboy this morning, nice demo probably took around ~45 minutes to play through. It's all in English too. :)

Shagrath 05-14-07 11:41 AM

I just got done running through the Trusty Bell/Eternal Sonata demo as well. Can't wait for this and Blue Dragon to make it stateside.

Yeah, that seems to be the case. Disappointing, because we've really been getting into some of the arcade and console classics like Gyruss and Smash, but the co-op achievements--I think--need to be completed on separate systems. And because they're not really popular games, it's REALLY tough to find games on Live.

That is bizarre. I know on Rainbow 6: Vegas you can get any of the co-op ones that aren't specifically "online" with splitscreen.

Michael Corvin 05-14-07 12:58 PM

A generalization, but I bet it has something to do with cheating. You know, setting it to co-op and setting controller two down and just playing it solo.

It looks like there will be another game besides Solitaire this week and it will be free(for a limited time). It looks interesting and the price is right.

Xbox LIVE Arcade Intern Project, Aegis Wing Launches As Free Gift
posted Monday, May 14, 2007 9:01 AM by johnporcaro
This week, Xbox LIVE Arcade is making Aegis Wing available as a free download for Xbox LIVE subscribers in North America for a limited time. The game was created by three students – Scott Brodie, Danny Dyer and Matt Monson – during a summer internship at Carbonated Games.

From the media alert:

“Aegis Wing” is a 2-D side-scrolling space shooter that combines epic space combat with fantastic visuals, and is set to a rich symphonic soundtrack. It is set in the year 2105, when humanity must flee a dying Earth for the distant world Europa. But this new home is soon threatened by a powerful alien race, the Araxia. With stolen Araxian technology, the Europa fleet develops an experimental star fighter and assigns four ace pilots to test it. The Aegis Wing is born, and it becomes your mission to wield this new technology as humanity’s last hope for survival

Game Features

· Amazing environmental art

· Full symphonic soundtrack

· Up to four-player simultaneous cooperative multiplayer gameplay, either locally on the same Xbox 360 console or over Xbox LIVE*

· Ability to attach your ship to your wingmen’s spacecraft to gain the “turret” ability and increase the firepower of the Super Weapons

· Four Super Weapons: the Hades Beam (wreaks total destruction), the Gorgon Burst (wipes out incoming fire and disables enemy spacecraft with an electromagnetic pulse), the Arcus Missile (a heat-seeking missile) and the Lambda Shield (deflects incoming fire back at enemies)

· Six epic missions and several memorable boss encounters to fight through

Gears of War, R6, Marvel, GRAW, etc. allow for co-op play using split screen. Unfortunately, the gf prefers the cheapy Live games.

I think Michael Corvin is right.

You can do that with Rainbow, Gears or any other as well. The Smash TV/Gyruss
issue is most likely that they worded the description incorrectly or just not as
detailed as it should have been and they meant over live (Rainbow 6 had a
similar issue with the single player T-Hunts, labeling the criteria as splitscreen).
Other than that, the post that mentioned logging in via separate accounts
sounds like the way to go.

edited to add;
Playing over live changes the rules for continuing so they probably want those
attached to the achievement.

anyone else having issues with the auto login feature? I have it enabled yet I still have to manually log in every time.

Are you talking about logging into Live or into your account?

When I turn on my Xbox, it automatically logs into my user account, but it won't log into Live unless I manually do it or I launch a game. It has always been like this for me. I was surprised when I went to my cousin's house, and when he turned on his Xbox, it automatically logged him into Live.

ChrisHicks 05-14-07 05:22 PM

I'm talking about logging into Live. it used to do it before but for some reason now it won't. I even have it enabled too.

Michael T Hudson 05-14-07 07:09 PM

My system still logs me into live on start up as well after the update.

The couple of times I've turned on the 360 since the update its been taking a really long time but it eventually logs onto Live without manually having to do it.
