i don't know what the fuck you guys are doing or i'm not doing, but i still can't beat that fucker.
destructo takes away damn near all of my HP and then he follows it off by killing me instantly with another strike. jesus christ. never before have i been so fucking pissed off at a game because i'm not able to beat the boss. i'm about to give up, honestly.

i don't see what it has to do with the people involved in the original. if it's a Square Enix property, they can do with it as they please.

FFVII was one of the weakest in the series, especially as far as story & characters go. It fooled a lot of people into thinking it was good due to being the first one with CG cut-scenes and 3D graphics, but in hindsight, it's one of the weakest FFs.
Although, if they remade FFVI, I'd be there in a fucking heartbeat!

i started with bully for a bit, switched to relentless assault, and went to convalesce when i needed to heal. beat him pretty easily. the best time is when he goes into that guard thing, it's the best time to heal and debuff him.

Her looks seem to be modelled off of Kathy Griffin, which seems like a very strange choice.

Very rare indeed!
Also, every time I see Snow, he reminds me of that stupid Informer song, so I hope he dies a horrific death very soon.

My friend pointed this out to me, but you guys are shifting paradigms between attacks, right? I didn't realize but if you shift before your attack ends, your action bar remains full and you can pull off another set of moves right afterwards.

finally got to the "open" area of the game. holy crap. don't go too far off the beaten path. you'll encounter enemies that'll pretty much kill you with one hit.

So I finally got to the point where there are more people in your party than can participate in combat. Is there any way I can switch around who is in my combat team or am I stuck with what the game gives me?

A couple more questions:
1. The score you get after combat based on how quickly you win the battle -- does that actually do anything? What about the stars? Is there a difference between 5-starring a fight and getting a score of 18,000 and 1-starring it and getting a score of 2,000?
2. Is there any trick to weapon upgrades? Is it nothing more than "add a bunch of random junk to your weapon and hope the multiplier increases so next time you don't have to add as much random junk?"
