Scoring question - does using HO & POs affect your score at all? Or do you get the same score whether you strum it or not?

Is using hyperspeed considered cheating? I tried the code for the first time tonight and I felt it made the game a little easier. The timing felt much more forgiving.

I would think something that needs a code to use would have to be considered cheating.

The glitch: Does it really matter, in the big picture? The leaderboards were already made incorrect with some people having scores in the billions. After I saw that, I didn't bother looking at them any more. I've never been one to gloat how good (or bad) I may be doing, so I guess I just don't care too much if people want a little gold star by all their songs (which will mean absolutely nothing) or boost their scores above what is possible with even a perfect run.
Hyperspeed: It's just a different way of displaying the notes as they come at you (spaced twice as far apart and the fret moves twice as fast). I greatly prefer it due to how my brain works (too many notes screws up my inner queue). It's no more a cheat than enabling the "big heads" code, IMO.
The RO "announcement": I fully expect the "announcement" to be that they will make an "announcement" in September. Then, in September, the "announcement" will be that they will make an "announcement" in October. In October, they'll announce that Guitar Hero III has been released and all DLC will be released for that instead of II. At some point in there they might release another overpriced downloadable pack (for which I am guilty of buying) containing none of the three songs that I really want (Texas Flood, Crossroads, Cowboys From Hell).
xVladx: Thanks for the post on Freya. I managed to 5* it on the PS2, but always seemed to screw up the part you detailed in your link there. I'd always tried the "hold all three buttons down then release the orange" trick, but my ring finger seemed to like to be attached to my pinky, so it'd come up during the release of orange. Using only the pinky and ring finger then sliding them to the chord worked (which wasn't particularly what you recommended, but your post gave me the idea
).

To me, no. It makes the game more playable. I think that most people agree.

I noticed there was an update when I signed on last night, so maybe it was fixed, but many of the top scores are messed up.
Edit: I read that the update was to get the game ready for wireless guitars. Oh well.

Since I stopped playing career mode I decided to give Jordan a long-awaited attempt today to pass on Expert...

I took Mordred's advice from months back and I tried hyperspeed, and that kinda helped but I kept failing at 58%, and when I gave up and went back to normal speed it felt easier to play then ever before. Now I can move on to another game finally.
I didn't think I'd ever beat it. ever. Now bring on Through the Fire and Flames!

Leave your index finger down on green for almost the entire part. Strum the first three notes of the pattern then just tap the Yellow with your middle finger, and don't strum anything again the GRYBOB pattern. On that part, only strum the green, quickly slide your index finger up to Red, and roll your hand through up to orange, and then lift your pinky off for the blue. For me at least, doing just the four strums (with a much easier identifiable rhythm) will greatly improve your accuracy.
Once you get that part down you can start failing along with most everybody else in the solo.
I'm even back to only being able to pass it on the odd occasion now.

I want that My Chemical Romance pack, only I can't get my 360 to connect to the internet. I haven't shelled out the $100 bucks for the wireless adapter. I used to connect via my cable wire but ever since Comcast came out to replace the router I haven't been able to connect
