the swinging in TW is easily the best for the system thus far. I really sucked at putting, but then again, I suck at real putting as well.

I bought Street Fighter last night. Man do I love that game... but the Classic Controller left me wanting a bit. Those shoulder buttons suck for making combos.

Is there a site that let's us know in advance what the VC titles might be for that week?

Nintendo doesn't announce their release dates ahead of time. Some third parties do, however. Here's a pretty good list of upcoming games:

what are the best multi-player games for VC? I not familiar with most of the games listed and didn't want to just pick one at random.

I still play that the way I did when it was on SNES.. map the Fierce away from the shoulder buttons and have the quick and fierce mapped next each other on the normal controller. With few exceptions, like Guile's mid-air back-breaker, I almost never use the medium punch or kick.

I bought Super Mario World this weekend and must have played it for five hours straight. I had forgotten how fun it is. It must be short though, I'm already at the boss level for the Forest of Illusion (world 5).

Best Mario game ever IMO. I don't get the raves for SMW2: Yoshi's Island. I love SMW.

Third. It's tough getting my friends to play anything other than shooters when we get together, but twice this game drawn them away from the 360 pad for a few hours.

It's actually one of the biggest, longest 2-D platformers ever. It also has a ton of re-play value and hidden stuff - like each level has at least 2-3 different exists that can take you to different places, and let's not forget about the star-world...

It is still pretty short time wise.

I spent probably around 5-7 hours getting all 96 exits when I played through it on the VC recently, but of course I've done that numerous times over the years so it will be a bit longer for one's first play through.

Every level doesn't have multiple exits, just ones that are marked with a red dot (as well as most of the ghost houses).

Oh yeah, that five hour timeframe includes all the secret exits, etc. I haven't really played this game since I was about 13 though so it's going to take me a bit longer than Josh.

I have to say SMW is the best "Traditional" platformer. The art direction for SMW2 was incredible for its time and the game was pretty fun.

SMW gets my vote for best 2D platformer of all time as well.

I do love Yoshi's Island though, but not as much as SMW.

My favorite (by far) of the multiplayer VC games is Toe Jam & Earl.
