I'm a little upset that one of my childhood heroes, Bernie Kosar, is listed in the same "Bronze" classification as Andre Ware and Ryan Leaf! That's okay. I'll draft him anyway.

They should have a special 'crap' category for Ware and Leaf. They can also throw in David Klinger and Ki-jana Carter, hell, have a Bungles category all to itself with Akili Smith too!

I have a feeling this should have a decent online following, but the single player seems a bit lacking. Only one season, no franchise...upsetting. I love my franchise in NCAA and Madden.

No, but Anthony Carter is.

I also agree that this would sell like hotcakes at $39.99

Bummer.
But ironically enough, Cris Carter replaced Anthony Carter as my favorite player back in the day.

But Bernie Kosar's had good seasons in the NFL. A lot of the scrubs in this game were complete busts from the get-go. Hell, Rick Mirer, Scott Mitchell and Rodney Peete should be in the game before Andre Ware.

How do you call a game All-Pro with Andre Ware in it? That'd be like a game called Hall of Fame Baseball with Matt Nokes.

Wow, just wow, if Steve Young is in the game, you will buy it, if he is not, you won't? That is a retarded reason...no offense

Maybe he was on the fence about getting it, and this pushed him over. He didn't say he wasn't going to buy it until it had Steve Young.

Must-buy for me then. Hopefully I can find it for cheap (ie around $40) on ebay.

As much as I never thought I would buy a game without a current player license, this one is tempting me now.

Who's going to spend the $59.99 to get this? Looks like a really nice game, but 60 bucks for a non-NFL license game sounds a little steep.

I've been internally debating this one. I was hoping that 2K would re-adopt the NFL 2K5 bargain pricing ($30 or $40 tops), but with NCAA coming the next day, and that being a definite purchase, this one might fall into the cracks for me. At least for the time being. I am very interested, though. If they have a sale or something before Madden hits the shelves, I'll probably spring for it.

They may not have had NFL licensing, but they had to pay each player individually for their likeness in the game. That gets expensive (some of the bigger-name players were in the 6 figures for an individual license). That's why it's $60.

I read about how much they had to pay some of the big names, and how little they had to pay some of the others who were just excited to be in the game. I just can't see myself paying $60 to play with the Las Vegas Dragons or the Houston Cheetahs (or whatever fake teams they create) in stadiums that don't exist. As many have said, it'll be interesting to see how this one does, especially coming out at the same time as NCAA '08 (as mentioned above.)

Yeah I bought it earlier today. I'm having a great time with it so far. I'd be happy to answer any questions people might have.
