I was a Madden fan for years upon years, until NFL Gameday 98 and 99. Those two games pissed all over EA's efforts. Then Madden came back with some good games, only to get pissed on again by NFL 2k4 and 2k5. The gameplay and AI of NFL 2k5 blew Madden out of the water.

I can't wait to watch OJ slash his way through the defensive line like his ex's neck. I also can't wait to draft Walter Payton, only to take him out on any 1st and goal play to run the Fridge instead.

Does anyone know if they plan to let you draft fictional players ilo HOF Legends?

I don't really care to have a roster full of All-Stars --- takes the fun out of it for me (even if you are playing against other All-Stars).

Quoted for truth

I'm pretty pumped for this game.

They better have fixed the line glitch problems, and the disconnect garbage. Those two absolutely ruined online competition in the last game.

The article in this month's Game Informer made it sound like you could. In fact it made it sound like a game I'd actually be interested in buying. The way they described it, since names weren't important, you'd draft players based upon a certain type. A possession WR with good hands or a speedy burner that can stretch the field? A shifty smaller RB, or a big powerful Bettis type? The article mentioned how the "build" of your team was an intergral part of the game - which is what had me actually thinking about buying it. I have little or no interest in playing with the former NFL players.

It's gonna be the standard $60 price. Too bad they didn't make it $40 or even $50 to make it look that much better. I think that's the main reason that 2k5 sold so well.

I don't understand that. It's not going to have current rosters. Why would I spend $60 for this when I can get the current teams on Madden?

This game should be $40. It won't sell at $60.

I don't even follow the football game scene and I know that's a stupid move. $40 bucks should have been the max, and releasing it at $30 might have really done something.

Right up there with Shadowrun for $60.

Yeah, I was planning on picking it up for $30 or $40 but $60? I'll wait.

ugh Deftones Has Hit A New Low , stupid ass song on that 2k website

" 2K BEATS – The All-Pro Football Soundtrack features originals, remixes and mashups produced by Z-Trip and featuring: Rakim, Dead Prez, Charli 2na, Slug, Aceyalone, Casual, Pep Love, Lateef, Gift of Gab, Keno 1, DJ Faust, Chevelle, Clutch, Dub Trio, Natural Self, Backyard Bangers, Deftones and Rush. "

Wow, so far their soundtrack sucks. Chevelle is the only on that list that is hot, deftones would of been , if they would of never join together with rappers in that song.

Anyway i dont have 360, and i'm not buying 360 until late this year or early next year, and i'm not buying all pro until the price drops to 29.99.

I like Rush

What I don't like is the idea of HAVING to use Hall of Famers as my base team. I know you play against other HOF'ers, but with max stats for every player (which they should be since they are HOF'ers) it seems a bit boring.

I'd much rather play the role of a GM and draft a team of no-namers from scratch. I thought I read that you can only play one season too -- no dynasty mode for this game.

Wow. I guess I'm the only one who thinks that looks like an awesome soundtrack.

My grandfather is one of the HOFers in this new 2k game, thus new 2k game>>>>Madden.

The pricing does seem a little off, but I don't think it is exactly like Shadowrun. Shadowrun seemed like half of a game (or maybe just an incredibly feature-lite game) that charged full price. This football game is probably a complete game that is lacking a license. Now lacking the license is a big deal, but I have no problem with them charging full price for this title if it is a full featured football game. If they're going to be able to be competitive at that price is another story all together. If they could have swung it, a $40 price tag would have been really smart.

I'm not impressed by the soundtrack either. I always love Maddens.

I don't know why these games even need soundtracks. It's football.

Kind of odd how the soundtrack got more buzz currently. I wonder how the game will be....I'll pass for $60. Especially if there is no Franchise. I'll stick to Madden as I like "real" players

Any word on presentation? Clearly the ESPN license won't be in like on 2K5 (best football game ever) right?

This game is just a tune up for when the exclusive between NFL and EA ends, which I think is in 2008 maybe?

Guy with the HOF grandfather, who is he?
