I've included everyone on the DVDTalk Gamertag list, the ones with a valid gamertag anyway.
Hmmm.... Im not in there. Can you add me?

Damn, #2 and I doubt I'll catch #1 anytime soon! Once my friend and I hit 40k, Gears of War came out and we both kinda quit to enjoy games....I'll still pop in the occasional crap game (Fuzion Frenzy 2) for easy points though

Added you, Rob. 15 spots left.

BTW, for those that don't know, you can register on mygamertag and turn on the flash gamercard features like "Currently playing", "Last seen", Nationality, etc...

Kind of a cool feature. While you are browsing the list, it eliminates having to jump out to Xbox.com to see if someone is online and what they are currently playing.

The Xbox rewards have been announced: http://gamerscoreblog.com/team/archi...06/540799.aspx

Xbox 360 is teaming up with Old Spice to bring the first Rewards Challenge to Xbox Live. Gamers will be charged with increasing their gamerscore by 1,500 between February 12 and April 12, 2007. That’s 60 days to bring your overall gamerscore up by 1,500 for the chance to earn a bounty of rewards. In order to participate, you need to have a valid Windows Live™ ID with your Xbox LIVE® gamercard linked, be a legal resident of the 50 United States and District of Columbia (expect future challenges to be global in scope) and at least thirteen years-old.

Reward Package Qualifications

Level 1 (Gamers who have a gamerscore between 0-4,999 at time of entry): Game Picture, Dashboard theme, Contra for Xbox LIVE Arcade
Level 2 (5,000-9,999 gamerscore at time of entry): Level 1 Package, 100 Microsoft Points and a contest T-shirt
Level 3 (10,000+ gamerscore at time of entry): Level 1 Package, 200 Microsoft Points, contest T-shirt and Fusion Frenzy 2
In addition, Old Spice will give Level 1 and 2 the gift of experience by upgrading their Rewards Level for 2007.
Think you can do it? With more than $500,000 in total rewards, such as Microsoft Points and Xbox 360 games, it is time to tackle those unbeaten games and start unlocking Achievements, because this Spring the rewards go beyond just having an impressive gamerscore.

Be sure to log on to www.xbox.com/rewards on February 12 to sign up for participation. Reward quantities are limited so gamers who reach the set goal will be awarded on a first come, first served basis only.
Pretty lame for all the build-up that was going on. I am suprised it's about gamerscore rather than achievements. This program is sooo going to be abused by the community. 1,500 gamerscore is but a drop in the bucket. Those prizes aren't going to last very long.

So is it the first to add 1500 points or is there going to be a drawing for everyone who gains 1500 points (that had signed up for this, of course). Doesn't seem clear (to me) on that. If it were a random drawing of everyone who met the criteria, I'd imagine the whole thing would go more smoothly and abused much less.

fixed.

I guess I will have to sign up on my work PC. Also need to snag NCAA hoops '06 from a buddy. Soooo be abused is right.

Fortunately I haven't padded my score at all, and still have 1000 to go on Rainbow 6, @ 800 on GoW, and 200 left on Dead Rising. All of which were on deck anyway since I am basically done with Viva Pinata. I was going to shoot for a Wild Card pinata next, but I may have to put it on the back burner for the contest.

I don't think the gamer score prizes are all bad... I'd take a free Fusion Frenzy.

Awesome work, Flay! I'm almost in the top 100, I can probably get into it tonight if I played hard enough.

Wow....hard to believe I still have a decent spot in the list. I'm very happy with 7th place considering I am trying to divide my time between the 360, the Wii and I am also using my PS3 to catch up on PS2 games I missed over the past 2 years.

Yeah, but you aren't the only one dividing their time now, so it all seems to work out in the end.

I may have read it wrong, but I understood it to mean that everyone that registered and gained 1500 points of more got the prize for whatever level they qualified for upon registration. It mentioned that some of the prizes were limited quantities.

I'm in a good spot. When I register on the 12th, I'll be in Level 3. 1500 points should be really easy to get. So, I should be looking at an Arcade game, a retail game and 200 points for free. In addition to a t-shirt, gamer pic and theme related to the contest.

WOOHOO! #4

Alright, stupid question time. A Windows Live ID, that is what I use to log onto XboxLive at xbox.com already. Correct? Just want to make sure I don't have to sign up for something else.

I guess the 2 games I have coming from gamesnflix probably today will have to sit at least partially idle until the 12th now

And yes that is how I interpert the last part is that it is first come first serve.

Yes.. Windows Live ID is what you use to log onto xbox.com

If you log in and see your gamer card, you have your gamer tag linked to your windows live id already and are set for that part of the requirements.
