Interesting.. I just got an email from XBox flash with the subject "Your XBox Reward is here"
I opened the email and it stated "You were smart enough to buy your 360 and register it. Now heres your reward"
And it has a code for Robotron, Frogger and Joust.
I already have Frogger, so I could trade that one for another game. But I'm not sure I want the other 2 as well. So, I could trade all three. Though it does say the codes are non-transferable. So, I'm not sure.

I'm happy to see that the Borat theme and picture pack is free on Live. Would not of paid for either but it's some great free content.

Crackdown is pretty fun, it's taken over my life the last 2 days and I just finished the single player...now to do a few side quests and get all the achievements

If anyone wants to trade for Robotron (definately), or something else (depends), shoot me an email.

anyone else having a problem with the GRAW2 demo freezing? I think I need to call Microsoft because sometimes my 360 will just hard freeze. I'm on my second one now after my first box died of the Red Lights of Death. It's been over a year but I emailed them when I first saw the freeze (just in case it became a pattern) so I'm hoping they won't try and charge me. Annoying to say the least though.

For those that got those three free Xbox Arcade games, but don't really like the games... I'd be willing to trade Bankshot Billiards (normally 1200 points) for Frogger and Robotron.

So I called them and am not at all pleased. My first 360 purchased on 1/3/06 died on me in March. It was replaced with my current 360 which has been freezing seemingly at random. I emailed XBOX support before my 1 year warranty expired because I was in moving and didn't have time to jump through the hoops of getting it repaired right then. I kept that email which was within the 1 year warranty period. So today, the first agent I talked to not only basically told me I was out of luck and would have to pay but also hung up on me when I asked to be transferred to a supervisor.
I called back, had a new agent, gave him the whole story and he checked with a supervisor to see what they could do. He came back and said they could offer me a 25% discount and free shipping both ways but it would still after all that cost me $104. Isn't that what they charge anyway? I'm thinking they were just pretending to give me a break on the cost.
What angers me is that 1)I sent an email which I still have complete with their reference number response prior to the expiration of the 1 year warranty. 2) Apparently launch consoles are exempt from the 1 year repair limitation but others are no 3)they keep touting the repairs in the past year will be free yet here they are asking me to pony up 100 bucks and 4) apparently to them email is useless and the phone is the only way to log problems. If I knew they treated email as useless I would have called them during the chaos that was my move.
I told the guy I can't afford to blow 100 bucks on my XBox at the moment and he said just call back with my new reference number when I'm ready for a repair. I think when I do call back I'm going to demand to speak to the "supervisor" myself. It's not that I don't understand their point but the way they're handling this whole thing is really unacceptable.
Ultimately if it ends up I have to shell out 100 bucks for a unit that works and will keep working then I guess it could be alot worse but it's just aggrevating that these things are so error prone. My brother has had his replaced, I'm already needing to get my second replacement and neither of us has ever had a video game system go bad on us before.

So I finally picked up my first "next gen" console on Friday night. Got a Premium Xbox 360, along with Gears of War, Rainbow Six: Vegas and Viva Pinata. So far so good!
Played a little GoW co-op this weekend, watched my wife make her garden and just got to Vegas in R6.
Gamertag is Draven Sinclair and I'm always looking for friends!

I know that a bunch of folks have had Crackdown for a bit but I was pretty excited that my local Wal-Mart actually felt like putting games out at midnight for once. My buddy and I were able to score copies but he's a wuss and won't stay up to play tonight.

I've had Crackdown for the weekend, and not that it's a surprise, since it's no different from the demo, but it's been a fuckin' blast to play - just balls out action in a big playground. It's the perfect game for the person who has too much ADD and would get distracted in GTA from the main game. This sucker's all about action, exploring and leveling up. It's roots are far more arcade-like than anything else.

I got that e-mail about the free XBLA games...I have an extra Frogger now if anyone wants to trade.
I'm still tempted to get Crackdown, just not sure if I have the time to invest in it right now.
