Glad to hear they hooked you up a bit more. That is rediculous that they weren't as curdious as they are known to be. I have nothing but good CSR with them, but then again, my Wii hasn't died on me (**knock on wood**), so I am not at the same frustration level as you.

As for Guitar Hero... bring it. I am excited!!!

It's in one of the Wii's settings menus - I think it's also on it's "home" menu.

Reggie "My Baby-Daddy" Fils-Aime says that 3rd parties are FINALLY starting to get their online dev kits. I just hope some 1st party offerings are well on their way.

so Mario Galaxy was pushed back? I was seeing early Summer as the release date at GameStop.com and now it says November, that sucks!

I've been playing SNES Zelda a lot. That game is still great today. Mario 64 is more flawed than I recalled. A lot of fun with a few friends playing multiplayer, but the AI is lacking.

I just got lucky at K-Mart. Was browsing the store and managed to spot a Wii-mote stashed under the register display case. I asked about it and was told that it was being held for tomorrows flier. I said, "really? even the remotes and nunchuks are locked up?" and then without further conversation, the cashier snuck two out and rung them up for me.

There never was a release date so it technically hasn't been pushed back. Pure speculation on GameStop's part.

Is there any reason to buy an official Wii SD card? Best Buy had a 1GB PNY for $20.

None whatsoever. Currently any Sd card up to 2gb will work.

Thanks! Then I think I am ready to go. I've got the 1GB PNY SD, a 2000 pt card, classic controller, Call OF Duty, and the React brand component cables. Now the long wait for my Circuit City order.

cool. Only other thing I can suggest are rechargeable AAs.

The Wii is worth the wait, enjoy!

The funny thing is that Nintendo claims you should only use alkaline batteries in the wii-mote. I was thinking of using Lithium batteries, but was worried about Nintendo caution against them. However, I noticed some people here are using rechargeable Nimh's, so I figured it'd be safe to use my Lithiums in the wii-mote. If so, they should last about 6x as long.

I've had no problems using NiMH rechargeables in my Wiimotes these 2 months.

Yeah, the Nihm batteries are fine. Only draw back is they don't last as long as they should as they throw off the battery meter. i.e. they show up at 3/4 charge when they are fully charged.

Still last as long or longer than regular batteries, but just aren't getting their maximum usage as when the Wii says they are dead I can throw them in another device and use them for a few more hours.

Would a wireless peilcan brand gamecube controller work with this? I can get one for the same price as the classic controller, so would it work on VC games?

If it works with a gamecube, it should be able to work with a Wii. The GC controller is less than ideal for SNES games, no idea about the N64 games though.

No, you currently can't copy VC games to SD cards.

You can redownload them from the store at any time for no charge though, so if you run out of space you can just delete games to make room.

I believe you can copy saved game data for VC games over to the SD cards, but I don't know how to do it as the couple of games I've downloaded don't allow saving.

I have some el cheapo nihms that I picked up in the wal-mart camera aisle a few years back for my camera. A pair of them ran the Wiimote/Nunchuck from about 8 this morning until about 11 tonight before I got the weak signal message from the Wii.

My little guy had a pretty good week at school so I let him play Zelda all day. He's doing pretty well with subtle hints here and there. I've had to solve two logic puzzles for him, but otherwise, he's cruising through admirably...kid is the king of the helm splitter.
